So right.🤣 She's too mature to act goofy just for camera attention.😎 And then because she didn't fuss over her hair or check her clothes when the men arrived, then was quiet instead of gushing over the guys like all the other girls, they tried to deliberately embarass her by saying it was because she was shy because she liked one of the guys. Sometimes the hosts just try to force the funny, & to me embarrassing someone isn't funny anyway, though it's done often on these shows so I guess Koreans think it is.🙄 She smiled & waved her arms to the song like the others, & laughed & cheered at the wood chopping, but they just didn't understand she wasn't going to act 5 yrs old like the others, even for ratings. You can tell the difference from when she's actually shy about a guy from just embarrassed from being made fun of. But what got me was her momentary gloating wave to the others when her partner said they would regret it because he was the best cook in his group, so he would win. 😋😏 THAT was cute.

I felt bad for Amber no one wanted to pick her and she was kinda ignored I feel D:
I did feel that when you got it spoiled out -.- but after a second of those I dont feel like Amber's missing at all
She wasn't being ignored during the cookout, she volunteered to wash the ingredients and when her partner was talking to Sunny he was trying to win extra ingredients for their dish. Amber is a humble person and if you noticed she said that was their first meeting unlike some of others who are well acquainted. She acts differently with people she's familiar with. Also, it was stated in the beginning that she was acting shier than usual; they even implied that maybe she had a crush on one of the guys and was blushing. I love her vibez on the show it even out the crazy over-the-top persona of some of the girls. Unlike them she wasn't trying too hard. To Sunny this was her natural setting but some of G8 was doing too much and I for one was glad Amber was there... Hyoyeon too.
Yeah, but she wasn't being shy, she just wasn't gushing over the guys & checking her hair & clothes like the others girls. She didn't blush until they embarrassed her by saying to the men that she liked one of them & was acting shy, though by then they knew her enough to know she wasn't being shy. I think the producers told the host to if possible make it seem all the girls were crazy over at least one of the guys to make the competition more dramatic. When it came time to be chosen, she followed her strategy of always just going with it & acting like she didn't care, not trying to curry favor from anyone. But she was funny when she gloated & waved at the others when her partner said he was the best cook & would win. 😋😎 To me, 1 second of genuine humor is better than 1 minute of people being insincere & acting dumb.
The good thing about AMBER but also painful to think about is that she always think no one will choose her because of how she looks like. Which is not supposed to be an issue. Because no matter what they do, she's always doing something amazing and pretty good at everything.
