so basically hasbro released an old gun, recolored it, removed several parts and sold it for the same price as the original. seems legit

BUT AT LEAST THE LONGSHOT GOT INTERNAL UPPED
actually the longshot was not internally upped at all. its internals are exactly the same as its original

Only reason the centurion sucked is because of it's backward-ass priming system and the fact it was RP, however i do not think the RP had anything to do with it. What do you think the problem was?
Gibby Ethridge Priming system, length, the too freaking big magazine, it breaking Mega darts making you buy more, it doesn't work without the barrel on, you can't take the barrel off, shall I go on?
A basic Longshot Mod Guide would be awesome :)

I haven't kept up with Nerf much since about 2010, this is a nice blast from the past. Good to see they brought the LS back, imo was the best nerf platform since the Big Bad Bow.

There's also the crimson strike version of the long shot, which also comes with a crimson red scope, so, yeah, this seems to be a bit of an odd duckling amongst the LS scopes, but then again, I guess Nerf was going for more multiusability across lines (especially with the new Elite OJ/XD line that has some blasters in Orange, like the Demolisher and Stryfe). Just thought to say. But it might still look a bit out of place on Rebelle blasters as orange is HEAVILY de-emphasized across that line.
But yeah, I like my ZS Longshot that I got, definately going to tweak mine. And hey, it is also backwards compatable with OMW's Immortal kit since it is pretty much the same blaster from 06
I can see some folks grabbing 2 or 3 of these Zombie Strike Longshots then dropping the OMW Massacre kit into them.
Probably the quickest and easiest way to mod them (at least until the Massacre kit is sold out anyway).

Quickest and easiest would be a K26 (Or K25) with reinforcements. It would also peform the best (Besides one with an AR removal, but this is about EASY mods)

Funny enough, I got an email earlier about OMW doing an Unleashed Solid Stage 1 Kit for the ZombieStrike Longshot, currently in pre-orders ($12.99 now, regular price is $14.99) until Oct 15th.
Summary
Large blaster. Good ergonomics. It sucks for power, get it for modding. Holds a second magazine in the stock.

Mine doesn’t
I picked a second-hand one from a local charity shop for £2. It’s missing its scope and comes with a curved magazine cartridge instead of the one featured in your vid. Since you mentioned the scope is hollow, then it’s no loss. The one kick in the teeth though is that the bar used for setting the fire mechanism was not included. So I have to make use with a screwdriver.

Coop you usually say the scopes are just for looks. can you modify a nerf scope to be a actual scope or even a cool looking telescope.

It depends cause the blaster is the thing that needs to be modified in order to a accurate with the scope for example the blaster shoots lower than the dot on the scope so if you modified the blaster to shoot higher it would be accurate,or just make a paper scope

yay it's back! im going to get one and mod it and paint it and maybe do some LED's as well.
I still have my original long shot, and I have to say it is a bulletproof gun everything internally is broken the bolt is cracked off. its there but you cant use it. I think the resistors broke themselves off, yet it still fires. I have to prime it where the trap door use to be lol. its prolly still my favorite gun.

I'm just spitballing here, but I think the "selling like hotcakes" phrase comes from some idea that large amounts of people will buy hotcakes (also known as pancakes, for those unaware; hell, I call them pancakes, I grew up that way) so they sell really quickly. It probably used to mean something; I don't think phrases like that come from a vacuum. Maybe pancakes don't sell so quickly anymore, but I don't know, we don't have an IHOP where I live, and that would be my definitive pancake place.
... I miss going to IHOP... I wish they'd open in my town...
This long shot is great and mine is modded with removed the bolt locks took off the jam door and took out the magazine lock and also took out the air restrictor and it's a great blaster!

E.P. Span they used left over shells from the gen 1 ones and just repainted them
Nerf did change one thing about the blaster. If you look down the barrel you will notice that the barrel is rifled

Considering that they have taken away the front end gun & the bipod, I would have expected them to do something with the power...
To be honest, I love carry handles. Here are 3 reasons. 1. They look tactical as F***. 2. Very practical. 3. It is actually very ergonomic.

I think its really funny how much people criticize hasbro on everything they do. Both nerf fans and action figure fans always talk about how hasbro likes to cut costs as much as possible.
