The sea-dragon can one-shot you in a prawn suit at full health. It's the only Leviathan that's ended one of my hardcore mode games... It's a meaniehead.
That glitch is brutal. It happens to a lot of people. It's because the devs gave the Prawn suit a sitting animation when you exit it while inside an alien base. Oh well. Keep going! You're doing awesome!
That's a really unfortunate bug 🙁 I flung my Prawn about willy nilly inside Alien facilities and never had that happen. You found that facility so quickly, I think I searched every inch of that lava mountain before finally stumbling upon the entrance. 😂
I had one of my prawn suits sink into the sand on the main island. Gave it up for lost but later on I came across it just squatting on the beach like nothing happened.
I'm so sorry you experienced a stuck vehicle glitch. Those are really annoying. The Seamoth can disappear into the shore of the islands too if you park it to close. There is a little more of the power plant you were in today to explore. But you are probably playing ahead quite a bit and have discovered a bunch of things by now. Anyways another great episode!
Wow what a great episode. You made a TON of progress. I don't know if this has been patched, but I've often run into a bug where the Prawn doesn't want to walk properly inside alien bases; it seems like (just) the feet are kind of stuck and I can still move, but it's super slow and you get stuck on stuff all the time. If that happens, you can use your grapple arm to pull you forward - just pick a spot like ~20 feet in front of you and grapple to it.
Make sure you take some time to build up your new base. Theres a new large room that's really cool. Build a containment unit and hatch the eggs you found.
Just a reminder: as the PDA said at one point, you can _make_ tablets. For the purple tablets, you just need a couple of diamonds and an ion cube. Not that there aren't enough of them just lying around to access the places you _need_ to access. But making them is an option if necessary.
there is a good number of purple tablets...but its not easy to find them all. better to just build them. there is only 1 orange tablet and one blue tablet. the orange is needed once and the blue is needed twice.
Can grow gel sacks outside too. Use your knife to harvest seeds like a mablemelon. I always plant the blood oil trees too. Drill arm can be used as a weapon.
@@maguszeal5818 Good against octosquids since they like to get up close. The green lava guys are a little too fast to hit them reliably. Wish there was a Prawn mounted stasis cannon.

I had that exact Prawn Suit bug in almost the exact place; I left mine right beside the Ion Cube mining node and it glitched through into the floor. Unfortunately I had saved after going through the portal (I returned to base with my seaglide before coming back), so I had no way of going back to save it. Fortunately, the storage and upgrades were still accessable from the top, so I was able to make a new one and put all the upgrades back in.
Never use a teleportal unless your prawn is in a moonpool. You can just walk it through but yeah. I am certain it's the portaling back into a cell that causes the prawn to glitch under floors.
fun fact: the drill arm of the P.R.A.W.N. Suit doubles as a melee weapon by dealing damage over time. while slower and less powerful than the default hands in melee attacks, it does constant damage while active and being held against a foe. Personally, I like running around with a drill arm and a default arm (and the jump jet upgrade) on my P.R.A.W.N. the default allows for a swift melee strike and grabbing items that get dropped so I don't have to get out of the Suit all the time; it also lets me punch warpers in the face as I jet past them which tends to keep them away. the Drill arm is for (you guessed it) drilling and mining... also for assaulting the occasional reaper leviathan that gets too handsy. (they don't like that D.O.T.)
Oh my fuck. I lost my prawn suit in that same area where yours got trapped under the floor. Fortunately, it was at the very end of my playthrough so I didn't need it anymore, but I was royally pissed

It’s a trip getting these videos and seeing comments on it that are 8 days old! Sort of discouraging to add any advice in the comments, knowing you are probably way further ahead of whatever point the video ends on. I guess I’ll just say, you could plant the melons inside your cyclops, as well as add a fabricator in there. Though you’re probably so far beyond this point that you either already did it or are too far ahead for it to matter. 🤷♂️
Its really difficult to do regular uploads when you do this all alone, its just me and a PC when I have free time, so I prep a couple of videos in advance. Before this I would always have comments asking for more uploads. Its also difficult to jump into the comment section of CZcams sometimes, it can be real rough - no one has a whole lot of patience, even if it is your first playthrough. It kind of sucks that I have to always disappoint someone, so this is a good example of that. Would people refer regular content or less content but I address everything people request in the comment section? Who knows. I chose the former because I can have community interaction with Patreon or Channel membership comments that's less likely to make me feel crappy, so I thought it made sense for me.
@@SymbaLily I see your dilemma. I’m sorry that the comments make you feel crappy! Tbh there’s no right way to play the game. If you did a blind playthrough and never read a single comment, you would still eventually make it to the end. That’s the fun part, discovering stuff in this game at your own pace. Like when you were elated to finally find nickel! So don’t let the comments discourage you from enjoying the way you’re playing the game, because every way is the right way. Cheers!
@@SymbaLily I realize the negative comments stick out way more in one's mind, but don't forget that there are loads of people who utterly enjoy watching you play and discover things at your own pace (including me)! You're doing great 💪
"Sort of discouraging to add any advice in the comments, knowing you are probably way further ahead" ... So you're saying it discourages backseating? That sounds like a net positive to me ;-)
I have a question for members or Amber, if she sees this. Do early uploaded episodes have to be watched on Patreon's site, or can they only be accessed on CZcams by CZcams members?
Amber discovers the biggest carnivore in game: "Oh how cute, an Octo-Cow!"

If i remember right the prawn suit fixes on reloading the game (no need to go back to an old save) been a while since i olayed this though and i deffo had this happen to me a few times
Hot mol-ten mag-ma!
You missed a whole area! There is a ramp that goes down inside that you didn’t go down
i thought when i played the cameras got completely snowy and you couldnt even find your way back. wonder if they changed it a bit or im remembering wrong
Ambr the video was grate to avoid the glitch take your prown never leave it behind when you teleport. You miss something lower in the Alien building.
Good episode. you're close.
I never use the swim charge fins......they make you slower and they make annoying sound. I just change out batteries every time I enter base
She's almost at the point where it won't be an issue any more.
that glitch hurt. can you grapple up onto the ceiling to pull out of the floor? i wonder...
You're doing great 💪
@@SymbaLily Also: happy weekend Amber & everyone 🥳
"Sort of discouraging to add any advice in the comments, knowing you are probably way further ahead" ... So you're saying it discourages backseating? That sounds like a net positive to me ;-)
I have a question for members or Amber, if she sees this. Do early uploaded episodes have to be watched on Patreon's site, or can they only be accessed on CZcams by CZcams members?
I hope you try the 2nd game after you beat this cause I'm obsessed
