    wow, cant believe its 2015 and kids are still complaining about chris g's team. if you hated so much, learn the match up, and adapt to the situation

    • @shindean
      @shindean Před 9 lety +3

      toxicsmoke194 To be fair, some of those people complaining are also those that realize that he can't win an EVO with morg doom. It's a great team that works on smaller tournies, but that just means it's only meant to work on scrub players. I have adapted to this team and it has a lot of holes in its defense, but Chris G still can't adapt to mix up's, so when you're talking about "adapt to the situation" that's for Chris G to read, we're just bored.

    • @shindean
      @shindean Před 9 lety +1

      ***** Well, now we know that you're not a life long Chris G fan. But I am, so I'll school you a little bit: He has won plenty of tournaments before he went to the Morg Doom combination, and they were incredibly fun to watch. Once he discovered morg doom, he became content with the team, but never bothered to learn how to use this team in any manner that takes away from chipping and running away. Case in point, he plays against Marlinpie and Clockwork every season, but hasn't bothered to learn the same Doom combos and incoming set ups as them. Don't you think it's useful to learn that if you end up with an anchor doom?

      ***** as much as i dont like chris g and love it when he loses, hes still a solid player top tier regardless of this team (in many different games)...

    @VoidStar. Před 9 lety +8

    Chris G. was a beast this match. I think if he had stuck with his Vergil anchor that he would have clinched the game way easier.
    What needs to be said about Justin? Scariest player in the world.

    • @DeusExMachina10001
      @DeusExMachina10001 Před 9 lety +1

      Jessey Bowman I don't think so. I would postulate that he switched to Magneto because Vergil has had a tendency to get punished by Justin on assist in the past, and because Magneto has a much better chance of avoiding incoming mixups. It just didn't come into play here because either Justin adapted or because Chrig G choked.

    • @VoidStar.
      @VoidStar. Před 9 lety +1

      DeusExMachina10001 That Magneto didn't do much of avoiding anything.
      I've seen Chris beat Justin with his Vergil, though.

    • @DeusExMachina10001
      @DeusExMachina10001 Před 9 lety

      Jessey Bowman Well sure; Vergil is scary no matter who you are. However, as far as Chris G is concerned, Magneto is typically a safer bet than Vergil against Justin. Justin's team, while not being very good, can punish assist calls like nobody's business because of Ice Storm and Tatsu, and Justin has gotten really good at punishing both Chris G's assist calls and his unsafe astrals. Magneto is a lot harder to punish on assist than Vergil because disruptor is so fast, he can be just as good an anchor/X-factor character as Vergil, and he's a lot safer on incoming.
      But, like I said, Justin either adapted or Chris G choked in that final set.

    • @VoidStar.
      @VoidStar. Před 9 lety

      DeusExMachina10001 I wonder how good Dormammu could be as an anchor for Morgan/Dr.Doom... Like if Chris.G could have a FilipinoChamp level Dormammu in the back.

    • @DeusExMachina10001
      @DeusExMachina10001 Před 9 lety

      Jessey Bowman Good question. FChamp's Dorm is kinda like Cloud's Dante or Justin's Akuma; all three can be a good anchors for their respective players but all are pretty bad anchors on paper. For most people Dorm is a unit; it's really hard to make him work without an assist like missiles since it's relatively easy to maul him if he's alone. My guess is that he would work quite well if Chris G could magically have FChamp's Dorm, but I honestly don't think Chris G could ever have a Dorm as good as FChamp's.

  • @Edgemaster72
    @Edgemaster72 Před 9 lety +1

    I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Chris picked Magneto because he can avoid incoming mixups better than Vergil, not that it really came into play.

      ***** O_o ? mmh... nop, never gonna happen.
      EVER !
      just look at 4:38 to 4:41, he chips Storm to death (what a surprise) and then when Wolverine is on the ground, he does standing low, into fly and instant Overhead, which is safe, and those 3 seconds were bullshitly cheap !!! and again on Akuma... how can you like that ? not smart, just cheap. The exact same set up at 7:40 u_u" and over and over again, like 10:51 for example ! Seriously ChrisBitch ?
      If you just look at Chris's character you get bored, he's doing nothing interesting except spamming, or confirming from random Soul Fists or the set-up I mentioned, if you look at JWong's team, that's hype he's trying everytyhing !

    The first 3 games felt like Justin was trying to figure out why the fuck Magneto was even there...I'm probably alone in this but Chris G is the only Morridoom I actually enjoy watching his traps are just so superior to any other. Clearly the guy is a top tier player without a doubt even though the Keep Away play style tends to be lame to watch at times

    • @Fate862
      @Fate862 Před 9 lety

      Masaz I love Chris G and Fchamp, my two favorite marvel players in the world I never get tired of watching those two. I don't know why he chose Magneto until the end over Vergil if his Magneto wasn't psyching Jwong anymore and didn't have a good role to play not as good as his awesome Vergil.

    • @Cjthecc
      @Cjthecc Před 9 lety +2

      I suspect mags was there for the extra mobility on incoming. Justin's incoming on Vergil is almost unblockable, As Vergil has next to no incoming options.
      Late meaty jump h, delayed Akuma call, high/low/cross up. Or even just threaten- he often just goes low when Vergil lands because you know he's ready for helm breaker or instant super.
      As it turns out, it was pretty meaningless. Mags did nada.

    • @masaz2770
      @masaz2770 Před 9 lety

      Honestly if it's not FChamp RayRay of Yipes I very rarely see people who have a Magneto that is always a threat.
      Oh I get the logic behind Chris' decision but you know J has plenty of experience vs the best Magneto(s) in the business and nothing against Chris but his Magneto is nowhere that level.

  • @ChaosPeon
    @ChaosPeon Před 9 lety

    How does hit decay work? What are the exact mechanics? I know that it exists so that you can't infinite off one character, and some moves have more hit stun than others... anyone know the exact limit of hits before your combo falls off?

    • @Cjthecc
      @Cjthecc Před 9 lety +1

      It depends from character to character, but generally, the more hits, the less hit stun. Grabs also scale hit stun, as do knockdowns->OTG's. You'll also have less hit stun if you start a combo on an airborne opponent, as grounded hits have separate hit stun decay (or at least a negligible effect on juggle decay).
      Also, moves after a super jump or a launcher cancelled into a super jump also have more hitstun than moves grounded or after a normal jump.
      Most (if not all) characters can circumvent maximum hitsun decay with normals or specials with high maximum scaling (at their most scaled they still link/cancel successfully into other moves) or with floor or wall bounces.
      All of these rules are general and almost all are broken in some way or other by various members of the cast. TAC's have no hitstun scaling whatsoever, hence infinities.
      Hope that helps.

    • @aznbuldozr
      @aznbuldozr Před 9 lety

      This was an option select actually by Chris G. Disrupt or counters nothing about Justin's team he was definitely mentally guard broken by something earlier in the tourney and I could tell he was gonna lose. He even sandbagged against clock the first time playing doom rocks. Some days Chris g is just out to prove a point and doesn't care about winning

    • @Johnnycpublic
      @Johnnycpublic Před 9 lety +1

      aznbuldozr pay attention to that first match,he disruptors akumas tatsu assist,chris played amazing before the reset but justin adapted and pulled out the win

    • @Johnnycpublic
      @Johnnycpublic Před 9 lety

      aznbuldozr also later justin snaps in magneto,why snap him in if hes not a threat?

    • @D4Gamerz
      @D4Gamerz Před 9 lety

      Johnnycpublic Haha are you kidding? he snapped in magneto because he's still a crazy good Anchor with xfactor and bodies akuma for free in anchor vs anchor. Chris picked Mags simply because he wanted to make an excuse for himself if he lost. Even if what you said is true and he used mags simply to counter akuma assist, why wouldn't he switch when it became apparent that Mags was doing absolutely nothing to help him in the matchup?

  • @Mad77max77
    @Mad77max77 Před 9 lety +1

    If you give ChrisG even a good team like Nova/Spencer/Strange, that can touch of death anybody, or Mag/Doom/Vergil, or Zero/MayCry he's not going to beat F.Champ, PR Rog, Clockwork, MarlinPie or anybody... he'll never win anything because he's not that good !
    He's only abusing the techs that are the most broken in the game...

    • @Cjthecc
      @Cjthecc Před 9 lety +3

      Seriously, try and play Morrigan. She's so hard.
      He probably wouldn't win with those tea,s at a high level as they don't suit his play style.
      He'd sure body you though ;)
      Or me, for that matter.
