We enjoy these yoga bowls because of how it lets you invent and create so many imaginative different meals. We always have something left over in the fridge that we can use as a base and then add what we need on top. The possibilities are endless. Let us know below your favourite Buddha Bowl ingredients.
Sorry we don't have a written recipe for this! We're currently working on an updated and improved version which will feature in our new book (to be launched in Spring 2018)... So please bear with us until then!
All the best,
Dave & Steve.

These look incredible. The whole family could have a big platter of ingredients and then add what they want to their own bowl. Great for fussy kids to feel they have some control. x
Exactly, there are some really taste food combinations you'd never think of too.
là

Gorgeous bowls. Thanks for all the ingredient ideas.
I think I have found a new lunch time favorite! thanks guy's
I'm a massive fan of smoothie bowls for breakfast and Buddha bowls for dinner or lunch. Love hummus, leftover oven-baked mixed veg. And pomegranates in a Buddha bowl
Smoothie bowls is a nice name. We're big fans of putting as much food into a bowl as we can, haha. We're horses haha
I LIVE for fruit in salads/ buddha bowls!
That pumpkin looks amazing. Great job, guys.
Love all three!

I first heard about you guys on The Rich Roll podcast and I absolutely love the excitement you bring to helping families lead healthy lives. I'm not vegan, but definitely plant curious. You are helping me find the language to open the eyes of my steak-and-potato, Corn Husker husband! Keep it up and I look forward to enjoying more of the positivity you bring. Eat more veg!
Great to hear, keep on eating more veggies! :)
I'm a student on a budget and having different types of Buddha bowls nearly every day for lunch because there are just so many ways to do it! My favourite dressing is a tahini dressing it takes your bowl to a whole other level! Thanks for the inspiration I defenitely need to try These!!

I also love that you use fairly common ingredients that are easy to find without feeling like I have to travel to Tibet on the back of a Llama! I LOVE IT! You guys rock! Your vids are highly inspirational too. Keep up the good work.

Looks so good, the colours are fantastic and this is so important: a delish both for the eyes and the belly! I love toasted seeds on my bowls, like pumpkin or sunflower seeds, or here, I'd toast the cashews a bit, it takes it to "a whole other level" like you guys say often! Thanks for the videos and books with easy recipes, your work is very inspiring, cheers from France!
That sounds delicious! Thanks so much for checking out the videos and books. Really appreciate it.
You guys rock !!
Wahoooo!!!!😄😋🙌
I could eat all 3 right now!
I love your videos especially 5 min ones because a lot of vegan recipes take time. It is pretty hard to be vegetarian in Japan but you guys are helping me a lot. Thank you so much! I really hope you guys will come to Japan. I can be your translator :D hehe

The Happy Pear Oh yes. I am trying some breakfast suggestions!
Love the combinations. I'm a no oil person but the vinegar on top...mmmm. I make one dish meals that are very similar but, you gave me some new ideas and reminded me of some I haven't had in a while. Thanks. Lynn
That's awesome Lynn!!! Hope you enjoy 😄😄😄
I like the look of the first one with Japanese pumpkin (the Aussie name for it!). My 2 year old will love the variety. I would add walnuts for crunch. Cheers boys!
Wow you have a very cool 2 year old. So handy he eats delicious food.
My Buddha bowls always look the same :). Fancy! I like your everything but the kitchen sink approach!
Awesome. :D Anything colourful and creative we're all in so this was a nice one to do.
yummy!!!!
These look amazing!!! I've only heard these called macro bowls before. I much prefer Buddha bowls!!!Stay awesome guys! ❤️❤️
We're heard both but definitely prefer buddha, the big man himself. :D
Second one's my favourite, thanks a million guys! :) I usually make my bowl with quinoa, cucumber, avocado, red sauerkraut, pulled oyster mushrooms with tahini soy sauce.
I think we hit our stride with the second one, haha. Oyster Mushrooms always take everything to the next level.
Happy Chinese New Year this weekend guys.

NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE😍 LOVE YALL💜💚💛 CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE SOMETHING TO EAT👍
First discovered Kabocha when I was studying abroad in Japan :) It's Japanese for "pumpkin!" I was like "whooaa this is what pumpkin tastes like?? Why don't we use it in stir fries in america??"
Mmmmmmm!
I am coming on holidays to Wicklow next week - can't wait to visit the Happy Pear!!!! I love watching your vlogs :) I have a twin brother :) - but we have separate birthdays :) - I was born at five minutes to 12 midnight and he was born at five minutes to 1.00am. I love being a twin and watching you guys :)
Woah! That's so cool! What are you going to see in wicklow? It's such a nice area. Anto the beast runs the HAppy Pear hiking club on wednesday evenings if you're around.
Looks delish! Definitely going to try this out at the weekend. Would love to see a vegan Pho recipe next..!
We have a pho recipe in our new book but we have ones left over that didn't make it in we can definitely shoot. :D
+The Happy Pear I do these all the time. My favourite is brown rice, black beans, sweetcorn, roasted mushrooms (spice them with chilli, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano & celery salt), watercress &spinach and a load of salsa. but I will often do them with harissa roasted chickpeas & sauerkraut, spicy salty thing goes really well
Oh wow that sounds incredible!! :D
+The Happy Pear give those mushrooms a try, spices & a touch of oil then a hot oven for about 25 mins and they're pure awesome
Very cool buddha bowls :-) actually the red kraut is calles Rotkraut, not Sauerkraut. Sauerkraut is always made from the white kraut :-D. Traditionally we like to use apples with our Rotkraut in Germany. Some like to add a little cloves or nutmeg in it too. :-) I like my Buddha bowls with brown basmati rice, chickpeas, tomatoes, spinach, olives and red onions. I like to make some kind of dressing with tahini, tamari sauce, lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, some mustard and herbs. :-) Love from Germany, Christina
Brilliant sounds fab! 😄👍🙌
Nice! I have a new addition to my budda bowls. I had leftover brown lentils and a heated them up in a skillet with red onion and added a spicy Asian peanut sauce... I'll be doing that again! Soooooooooo gooooooooood :P
Oh wow that's dreamy! peanut sauce is so nice.
Ha.
BIG shoutout to kabocha squash.
Made my day.
Haha it's so delicious! We really love it.
kumbucha squash is also called buttercup squash
Please post the recipe in the comments. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the infos
Woo glad you found it helpful! 😄😋👍
The Happy Pear we are vegan for 18 years and raw vegan just 8 years ago , we enjoyed bathe dishes raw and cook no eggs and oil in cooking just plain water and spices of cos onion and garlic cos we are not pure vegan
Corrections both not bathe
Yummy! Thanks for helping me figure out what to have for dinner tonight. :D ~:>
yeeeow! Delighted we could be of service! 😄😄
Vegetarian not pure vegan but love to watch you guys. I think you are brothers not twins. I am a twin of geyser years, and I would guess that you rock climb??? as do I still. Forearms say a lot. Am I wrong? keep it going lads-- from a Yorkshire dude living in the US of A
Ah cheers John! We're actually identical twins and no rock climbing! 😄👍🙌
made an autumn budha bowl ,potato mash with raw endive(dutch), roasted uchiki kuri pumpkin, roasted chestnuts, mushrooms, clementine and sprinkel of peanut and pumlkin seeds
Ah wow sounds unreal!!! Nice one dude👍👍
great vid lads as usual! love your snaps and it amazes me how well your little ones eat. mine are picky little feckers 😲 any tips ?! cheers lads xxx Martina from Bavaria with a Clare man husband
+Martina Church one tip we like is giving them raspberries they can put them on their finger tips and eat them off so it's like a game. We have a section in our new book on feeding kids too:
+The Happy Pear thanks, will try that 🙌
Save some for me!
Never... 😜😂😘
Very nice :D Where does buddha bowl name come from? i also did a bowl video recently but only one way :)
I usually go with lentils, rice, spinach, cucumber, avocado and then a peanut sauce with crushed cashews on top
Sounds dreamy! Fair play. :D
hey Dave and Steve! Love your channel, I'm on my third week of being vegan and have learned a lot from you guys. I'm wondering why you use oil sometimes though? My understanding is it can be just as bad for your heart health as some meat and dairy! please let me know if i'm wrong! :)
asliuf they may not be vegan for health reasons. There is such a thing a being vegan for the animals. I avoid oil, too, so I know where you are coming from, but my hope is that people will become vegan for more than just the health benefits.
Great ideas! But what do these bowls have to do with Buddha?
They're balanced and well rounded? I think. haha
can you make vegan kimchi recipe please?
Sure, we'll definitely do that soon.
So would it be 1 bowl per person or to share?
Michelle Fullam one per person
Love it guys, will need to try this out!! Also I don't know if you saw, but Niomi Smart mentioned you in her recent video- you should check it out! :)
Does a Buddha bowl has to be stricktly vegan? Or could you also make it vegetarian? I'm a vegetarian myself, I just can't skip my cheeses out of my diet... I'm thinking of a crumbled feta cheese topping for example or tiny mozzarella balls :) love easy, quick and dynamic videos boys! You are a huge sorce of inspiration! Lots of love all the way from Belgium, hope to hear your opion on vegetarian Buddha bowls
ASMR Nurse You went vegan right
Are the cooked ingredients served cold in those bowls?
some were hot and some were cold. The leftovers are usually cold but you can definitely reheat things.
you guy's talk over each other!!!
We've been doing it for 35 years, haha.
"As you can saw".
Shh.
ok :(
3 ways or 3 some? ;)
savage lads I'm off to roast sweet potato and red pepper and chilli pepper now for my bowl
Amazing! Sounds amazing. :D
Can you do some of these for those of us watching our weight? I love the idea...but I'm afraid of too many calories.
Don't count calories! Stay between 20 to 40 grams of carbohydrates each day. Green veggies are basically unlimited.
then make less. solved.
am trying to go more plant based. but why the different carbs/starched on 1 plate . this would be diner bowls
More the merrier in our opinion Tom!!! 😄😋🙌
Shout out to kabocha squash! 😆
KABOUCHA KABOCHA!
That Sauerkraut looks pasteurized. What's the point?
'Buddha would be very prou.' He sure would. These look unreal
Wrong use of Buddha. 😔
The fuck? Kimchi isn't suppoed to be red. It's more of an orange.
Please do not use the word Buddha ' in that way.I am a Buddhist. You don't seem to know anything about it.
