  • My take on Effexor XR for Anxiety relief. There is a lot of info in this video (see time stamps below) because I was basically just ranting lol, but there is helpful information all throughout. Please leave a comment if you have other questions about my experience with Effexor I'd love to answer any questions! Might make another video.
I made this video for people who are starting Effexor and are curious about other users' experiences. I wanted to make this because when I began treatment with Effexor I couldn't find many user-based video, so I think it could help.

I just started on 75, but noticed you have pretty visible hand shakes. I'm feeling jittery already from it, wondering if that's something that is new for you.

Good question. I will say that i have been a shaky-hand person for as long as i can remember. At least back to middle school. I think it runs in the family. That being said, I think Effexor may have made me a bit more shaky, particularly in the morning (only with my hands). But i’ve never really thought about it before reading this comment. Also, I hear a lot of people say Effexor gives them the jitters, which is usually the rationale for taking it in the morning. Personally Effexor has never made me feel amped up or jittery or more energetic in any capacity.

One of the best way to start taking it like with any anti depressant in my opinion. Is with some sort of medication for anxiety. Because snri s take a while to work and when you start one of the main common side effects is anxiety, if you already have anxiety it will boost it up. I hate doctors who don't give their patients some anxiety medication when prescribe these medications. We need to stop supporting those doctors who don't give anxiety meds when starting an anti depressant

I’m looking into Effexor right now because I need to be OFF the benzos. It’s taken my happiness and my independence and personality away. This medication is the first thing that’s given me hope in years and I’m going in with an open mind.

Week one after starting Apo-Venlafaxine XR (Canadian version of Effexor XR). Loss of appetite as it makes my food not taste as good, dry mouth, wired at night. Sexual side affects - decline in sex drive, problems getting erection ...and cannot ejaculate. On a good note though they alleviate some of the anxiety. Probably take a month or so to work to their full potential. I'll give these more time yet before I draw a final conclusion on how these work for me. Thanks for the video.

@@kimberlyk3928 The doctor now has me on two types of medication. The first one is called Mar-Sertraline 25MG, and the other is called Mint Aripiprazole 2MG. So far these have been working very well for me. I have not experienced any side effects, and they allieviate my anxiety and panic attacks. My experience with these could be different than yours however, as everyone reacts differently to medications. Hope this helps you if you decide to try these. Also they are not addictive which is good.

@@lennysrubber_boots1908 Isn’t the Sertraline the generic form of Zoloft?? Also what are the two meds you are taking prescribed for? I don’t think I have heard of these and might need to look into this. If you can give me info, thank you. If not, It’s ok. Glad this is working for you. I get so many side effects from meds, the reviews of pushing through the side effects seem a bit rough.
