Thanks guys. Stan's tattoos are all real. Great reaction. Awesome insights and comments about Stan's performance and his look. His ethnicity is Maori from New Zealand. The nature scenes are real, they are indeed volcanic plateaus and natural bush, as well as waterfalls, coastal sunrises... all located in his general district where his family lives in Bay of Plenty New Zealand. Great comments.

His documentary on his cancer journey, removal of his stomach etc, is here on CZcams. Well worth a watch. Also Amazing Grace, cover of Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House and his cover of Ultralight Beam by Kanye are insane. He's a very proud man of Maori descent from here in Aotearoa New Zealand. He is absolutely amazing and so humble too.

Kaitiakitanga. Is a Māori concept meaning guardianship. That we don’t own nature, but are guardians of it. We keep it in trust for future generations. I wish this simple, but powerful concept was universal. Because, we’re trashing this planet and it’s the only habitable home we have. A home that’s hospitable environment teeters on a knife edge

I'm from Rotorua New Zealand, (Geyser City)...Tamoko are done as was in the old days, its still a ritual, and i must admit, Stan's Tamoko is truly beautiful, his tone has changed a lot since his Idol days in Australia, with the journey he has undertaken his tone has depths, soul, and carries that Mana feeling in his lyrics... bringing all the elements together. Papatūānuku (Earth) Rangi (Sky) Moana (Sea) Tane Mahutu (forest).. hope everyone likes this song hes definitely has come a long way.

New sub here also. I'm from New Zealand and I love how our culture music is being reacted to from all over the world. We're also trying to keep our culture and language alive in our own country. Unfortunately we have majority of New Zealand Europeans trying to get rid of it. Not only that is happening at the moment. It has only just starting a movement towards this current Government. We've just got over 1 million Māori here in (Aotearoa) New Zealand. We just want to be included in all decision making that includes us all here equally. Anyway, that's for embracing and reacting to our waiata (song). We have plenty more for you guys to listen too from our little country at the bottom of the world 😊

The tattoo is influenced from it but has a more Traditional and deeper meaning. Stan is very creative and is very intentional with every song and video he makes (Lyrics, Traditional attire, scenes etc). It is made with pure love and respect for our culture, but it is also music that empowers and inspires all people Internationally. Kia ora guys, loving your coverage, Stan is a taonga a treasure of Aotearoa New Zealand. These are all places I’ve been to over my lifetime and the geysers and pale stone are likely in Rotorua and or Taupo in the volcanic areas. In the movie scenes that sculpture where she touches the stones I’m pretty sure is in Germany and is a monument to holocaust survivors.

  • @tua.sum.nova.praeda

Those "trinkets" are called taonga. They all have meaning and it takes real skill to carve bone and jade (also called taonga) into those shapes. He has a shark tooth and a tiki comb, supposed to be worn to hold your hair in a top knot... Stan is a bit bald for that clearly! But yeah, wearing these indicate things about the wearer including their Mana (kind of like status but so much more than just status...) Maori is a beautifully intricate language and culture.

This song speaks to all who listens to seek out your origin, and to know your ancestors and stand proud of who they are, and the journey they struggled through, to bring you into being. We believe that your future is lost, and your direction is aimless, without the strong foundation your ancestors left to you.
So seek your heritage, know your past, and stand proud fully knowing the sacrifices that brought you to today, and the great person you have become.

“These Americans” meaning us? I’ll just give you little fact that has never been said on this Channel. King Bro is not even American or born in America. He is a refugee from a War torn Country. He has experienced War, Poverty and Ethnic cleansing since the day he was born. He had to illegally cross borders to seek refuge in many countries where he has experienced various of cultures. The story is deep with King Bro. His people are also ancient and known since 5000 b.c. and further. If there is anyone who respect cultures and tradition it would be him.
