    Thank you for doing a flip through of this! I have been thinking about using this program for my kids this coming year and now I feel more confident purchasing it.

    So thankful you shared this! I was looking at so many grammar programs but they all seemed overwhelming and so time consuming. This is right to the point and seems great! Definitely going to try this one.

    I was so excited to see this pop up from your channel because we are considering using this for the new school year! I know you said it’s designed to be used two days per week, but can you share a bit about your family’s routine with the curriculum?

    Can you do a flip through and review of Apologia General and Physical Science?
    I’d love to see how long it takes for each lesson, what the student book asks, how the tests are laid out, etc

    Thank you so much for this flip through! My oldest is in 3rd grade and we are loving level 1 so far, but, you know, there are always moments of wondering “is this enough?” 😂
    Watching this flip through plus SCM’s video on level 3 really helped alleviate those doubts for me regarding this curriculum. 🎉

    The more I'm reading into Charlotte Mason, the more I'm debating what we're currently using. I completely believe that a lot more than necessary is introduced in TGATB K. Although she's now a proficient reader, a lot of the grammar rules I quickly just mention and we move on because she's not developmentally ready for it. I don't know how my second will do. She's not as academically inclined and at 4 doesn't really know any letters. She has no interest 🤷. I'm debating whether to switch all of them or just offer something more like this to my second. Curriculum decision is so draining 😂

    Do you have any idea about books 4 and 5? I see that book 3 of Using Language Well came out about 4 years ago, and books 4 and 5 are still not published...

    My daughter is going into 5th grade. I have not tried or found anything for LA or spelling that works well for her and I as well. I was contemplating using IEW this year for writing and grammar and am looking for something for spelling. A mom from our co-op is offering to teach IEW before co-op. After watching this I'm really considering this instead. It covers all of it at once which I've been looking for and I love C.M. since she's 5th grade would you recommend I start with book 1? I'm really praying about what to do.🙏

    Hi!! I did a search on spelling wisdom bc tgtb isn't enough any longer. I'm wondering if we could do tgtb 3 days and this 2 days??? My kiddos are 4th/5th. I don't know how I missed this video either!!

  • @thisfulllife

    Thank you for this! I noticed that there wasn’t any writing in your student books. Do you have your students write down the answers to each question in a separate notebook, or do they do everything aside from dictation orally?

    • @moments_peace
      @moments_peace Před 2 lety

      I believe they used to make copies/use a notebook but now each one writes in the student book. My kids write in them. I am hoping book 4 comes soon.

    On the longer passages in Spelling Wisdom: do you dictate the whole passage or just a chunk?

    • @andreadenekamp6249
      @andreadenekamp6249 Před 2 lety +1

      Usually, I do a smaller piece of the passage, when the passages become very long.

    Thank you for the flip through! This fall will be our third year homeschooling, and I just had a complete change of mind and heart and meaning about our home education life and experience. I think it finally sank in, what I have envisioned and my confidence to do it, and a really rough second year… sometimes you push and push to do something that it’s not you or your child for all the fears… I just poured my heart here!… Anyways, I am going to switch to SCM, it’s has been in my heart from the beginning. I thought it was too much, too long and too expensive…yet really never immerse myself into learning and understanding how to do it… I am pretty heartbroken… I hope it’s not too late or too complicated to get started.
    Would you say that the Individual Studies guide/lessons planner is absolutely necessary to be able to use and schedule the language arts/spelling? Or the teacher’s guide has how to complete each lesson?
    Thank you so much💗

    • @moments_peace
      @moments_peace Před 2 lety +2

      I hope this helps you:
      the individual grade level study guides do all the planning of structuring your days with the curriculum. The teacher book details how to use that particular book and has the answers with details to help you help your child. So the individual/grade level planner is not necessary but can be very helpful.

      We use all about reading until 1st grade and start this in 3rd. We also incorporate reading aloud, written narration, Shakespeare, etc., but as far as grammar, spelling, etc., yes, this is our main course.
