- Revenge of Light is an Intamin Amusement Ride that is opening in 2021 at the Happy Valley Nanjing theme park. Originally thought to be a clone of Cheetah Hunt, the ride layout really just copies two of the signature "Cheetah Hunt" maneuvers, the Tree Canopy element, and some of the S-Turns along the river. #RollerCoaster #HappyValley #NoLimits2

I am beyond happy that this isnt an exact clone of cheetah hunt. Cheetah hunt was one of my favorites, and it had such a cool theme, it wouldve been a little sad if it were cloned.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble folks. I composited the POV footage of RotL, as well as POV footage from Cheetah Hunt into Final Cut Pro. Flipped the Cheetah Hunt video and synched them up and they are very nearly identical with the exception of one section of side to sides comes earlier in the Revenge of the light than in Cheetah hunt. When RotL is doing a side to side, CH is going straight, and vice versa. The middle break run in CH was not in RotL. The biggest difference is the themeing, which seems to be much more robust in RotL. Much of that could get scarified in the actual construction. :-(

@@hummel_brummel it pretty much is, all of Cheetah Hunts elements are put in. The only difference is the off-axis airtime hill, one extra s-turn and a different break run approach and obviously the extra launch, not much difference

This looks quite a bit more intense than Cheetah Hunt IMO. This is definitely inspired by the former though, no mistake.
It's missing a Rapids ride and a log flume plus a few special effects to make it a bit more interesting.
