As a console player, this makes me cry. I love the flood so much, and I wish when "Awakening the nightmare" came out, they would have added the Gravemind as a leader, so...so sad.

@@halo3marine631 Nice idea! I've also had that same thought. What about a campaign of Awakening the nightmare with joint UNSC and Banished efforts, or new game modes based off of missions like Fighting retreat, or other such missions.

Why can't 343 give us console players playable flood, sure the flood in this mod are overpowered for example dropping a mini base anywhere on the map which can produce troops and gives more population as long as it lives, for me it does not make a diference in halo wars 2 there are alot of overpowered leaders too Also do not forget voridus is basically anti flood, if its to op in multiplayer then make it only available on custom matches or non ranking matches aka friendly matches see? Problem solved if one halo wars 2 fan made this mod why can't a company with thousands of workers do this it hurts looking at CZcams and seeing cool mods in halo that I dreamed of using for years bit I never got the chance... 343 dissapoints me...

The prometheans were supposed to originally be in halo wars 2 but we got the flood instead But I would kill for a promethean expansion

That'd have been neat, but I think I prefer the isolated story of Halo Wars 2. If the Prometheans were there could probably assume Cortana would be as well. There were Armigers on the Ark though, so I suppose they could have been a Forerunner ground unit, as opposed to just the floaty Sentinels.
The flood uses guns and they def use their technology?? they use vehicles and even know how to operate the slipspace drives of some spacecraft
We were discussing what it would be like if the flood manufactured their own guns and vehicles instead of stealing them

Flood only use firearms as they are acquired as they have no interest in having a battle take long enough to require supply lines, no do they have the capability to make them.
Never underestimate the scope of battlefield logistics, how much work goes into turning minerals in the ground into a battle rifle.
Maybe when the flood are first developing sure, but the flood forerunner war lasted a long long time, certainly the flood had supply lines for that prolonged war
@@RealllyGoodGaming from what I've witnessed the only supply lines they need are fresh enemies to infect. Id love to see how the flood actually take on logistics in prolonged fights but I know they usually are only offensive which is ironically a weakness of theirs.
Man I really wish the flood woulda been playable in halo wars 2, since i saw them back in halo wars 1 i wanted them to be playable. I know it wouldn't really work for a balanced gameplay mechanic in pvp but I mean i just really wish i could do firefight as flood or mess around with friends it would be so fun. Oh to be honest I wish that advanced zoom you have was available in the base game so I could get a good view of the troops and fights close up. I hate missing out on these simple things because of being on console. You are actually wrong about the hive commander not boosting anyone because the flood from previous waves won't always be dead depending on its pathing so itll show up with the commander and get boosted
It would have been amazing if they added a true playable flood faction! It’s actually not as unbalanced as you’d think in the mod. Also I didn’t consider that about the Hive Commander, it’s still pretty rare though!

Clearly your cohost has never played halo CE or 2. The flood most definitely know how to use rocket launchers and firearms, it also doesn’t help that 99% of their units lack opposable thumbs now.

Console mods are practically non-existent, except for Skyrim and Fallout 4. 99.9% of the time when you ask the question "can you make this mod for consoles?" the answer is going to be no.
There is a way its just dependent on how well you trust the creator, do some research on modding with xbox one, you can get these heroes just alot of files to work with and externalities with the files sourcing and you can play the flood and forerunner god
@@EliteBladesGaming not true its not exactly safe, you won't get sued by xbox or anything they just run alot of "risk" cautions because the people who make the mods can do some shady stuff

Hey this was a fun video! But whoever was talking about the Flood in the beginning not using technology is dumb. They're not just mindless zombies, and the gravemind definitely understands technology. I actually don't even understand how that person could think that the Flood doesn't use technology. In the games they use vehicles and weapons. In the books they use starships and ancient technology. That whole conversation in the beginning was just...dumb. It was just dumb as dogshit. Cool video, but try to pay a little more attention to the lore.
Hey friend, I think the point he was discussing was that the flood don’t produce technology, they will take over a covenant/forerunner/human ship, same goes for vehicles and weapons. We were discussing what it would be like if the flood designed and had the capacity to create their own ships, vehicles, and weapons

I don't think his critique is wrong at all. In sci fi battles/debates, everybody assumes that the Flood are invincible gods that instantly have access to super powerful Forerunner technology, hyperintelligence, and that can't be eradicated by any faction weaker than Necrons period. You'd think that the flood would be completely unstoppable by most weapons, yet in the games, basic UNSC weapons cut through them like butter, only some of the flood infested troops use weapons, most of them just slowly creep toward the player, and in HW2, the Banished destroy an entire gravemind by themselves, albeit taking heavy losses.
It doesn't make a ton of sense for a supposedly galaxy-level threat that's branded by so many as having incomparable intelligence not to give infested troops better or more accurate weapons (if anything, soldiers seem less accurate when they are infested, and can't use both arms to aim), not to augment the speed of infested soldiers (again, they seem to be slower if anything), and to still get cut down by weapons that are quite similar to modern ones.
Forerunners are not gods…
