Sir I have planted okra from two packet purchased from marker. One has started giving okra but on another one its just producing leaves at pods where okra was supposed to grow.
Is it normal? It is due to different variety of seed?

I think your plant are tall because they are in a shade area vs open to direct sun. They also take longer to fruit because of this. Although the plant will be more green humongous leaves but very little fruits. The plant will also tower over you easily. Okra love warm hot sun and lite watering. It will force fruits to grow. I do recommend cutting the leaves without fruit off to help the plant grow usually at the base of the plant. It a chore I know. But harvesting and walking through them will be easier.
I know this is about the 3G cutting it's just an observation of your plant growth in this video

Okra fruits at the top usually. So managing to grow extra branches at the bottom via 3g method doesnt have benefits since most of the plants nutrients will be directed to leaf growth

  • @Gina-yy5fe

The leaves are edible, so , maybe when you cut it, it produced more leaves, so if you eat the delicious and nutritious leaves there IS A BENEFIT to cutting it!
