Not every mammoth. The woolly species is the only one to be preserved in these days. Other species are mostly known from bone and tusk.
So insane that we actually find these insanely old animals frozen in the ground! What a cool job to have!

It's impossible for reptiles to live in cold environments.... but I get your point that it would be amazing if there's a frozen dinosaur specimen.
There were dinosaurs at the South Pole which was a temperate forest at that time although with freezing winters. Some dinosaurs were covered in feathers presumably for warmth. There is also a living reptile found within the arctic circle, the adder (snake.)
And that dinosaur is called the Cryolophosaurus.

I think the oldest animal they can bring back is either platybelodon or Livyatan idk
they are doing it next year in 2024, they cant bring back dinosaurs the fossils left behind dont have dna they are just rocks in the shape of the bones
DNA doesn’t last that long
Most of these mammoths died around 10’000 years ago and were missing a good amount of their sequence
Speculation says that DNA can at most last 100’000 years so unfortunately the 66’000’000 year old dinosaurs slightly missed the mark

one more baby mammoth found in North Canada, it is 30,000 year old. they have been extinct around 4,000 year ago.

My class and I found mammoth number 4 the jarkov mammoth to be the most interesting. It was frozen and found by a nine year old which is the age of majority of the students!
