This channel makes me want to start cleaning my shoes. It never fails to satisfy me on clean the shoes become after cleaning them.
Developed and made by Onitsuka Tiger the Cortez is the shoe that launched Nike. Originally, the Cortez was supposed to be called the Aztec but Adidas released a shoe called the Aztec Gold so another name was chosen (Cortez being the conqueror of the Aztecs). I owned many pairs of the classic Nike version shoes in high school along with the natural leather version which were named Le Village and were considered "dress sneakers". An enduring design which is still sold today.

I have a “newer” pair of these I wore in high school. They’re over 10 years old now and I’d love to have the restored like this.
I have never watched those movies with sound because I was expecting to hear some stupid music. But today I turned on the volume and what a surprise! It is even more satisfying to watch with all those natural sounds :)

I used to own a pair of cortez in high school, and I just threw them away last year since they were battered and got bitten by my dog, and the soles had split. Didn't know that I could have had them repaired.....
Would you ever consider trying to put white shoes in a solarium for a day or two? Would the hydrogen peroxide damage them or lighten them? Might be a cool experiment

Great work vetiver, I suggest that you use some shoe trees when working on leather sneakers as it helps in maintaining the shape of the pair.

Is it sacrilegious to say that I clean white leather sneakers with Soft Scrub with Bleach followed by a wipe down with a damp cloth? The sneakers don't come out looking brand new, but they come close with a lot fewer steps.
