- Fans know “Just Like That” as snippets of the “Abba Medley” from the “Thank You For The Music” box set from 1994, parts of the demo were incorporated into “Under Attack”.
Some versions of the Abba song, which was never officially released, can also be found here on CZcams. The quality of the vocal tracks is usually not particularly good.
In my very first unofficial extended Abba remix I tried to get the best out of it, stay close to the original idea and still incorporate the typical Ray mixed style.
Happy listening!
Original version written and produced
by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson
Additional drums and keyboards used in this remix
played by Ray Marten - Hudba
Una dintre cele mai frumoase melodii ABBA mersi mult
On all ABBA albums there are songs I thought “what is this doing here?” And here is this diamond that didn’t pass through their critical minds. In my opinion definitely one of their best songs ever. Pity we’ll never know what it really could have turned out to be. However this version is a very nice comfort.
It's not that it didn't pass though their minds to have it on an album. They were just never happy with any of the production versions, and never got the chance, before selling it off after the band wrapped up in 1982.
I believe I read, a long time ago, that Agnetha never understood why they didn’t finish recording it. And taken into consideration some of the tracks they did put on the albums this is in my point of view far superior to some of them. This testifies also the huge fan interest in this song.
@@johnadahl7477 It's not about the song being "good" or not (Whatever that means to a non-musician, least of all not the people who wrote the song. They weren't happy with the mix and the context of setting it amongst the songs on the albums at THAT time... (Super Trouper and then The Visitors). Then they broke up, and 3 years later sold the recording rights. The end.
@@aperinich"Super Trouper" and "The Visitors" albums came out BEFORE this song was made, it was conceived for the following album, where it would have slotted in perfectly with the other 5 songs they recorded in 1982 before deciding to do no more. 'Should I Laugh Or Cry' is a glaring omission from the album before it, not least as there's only 9 tracks on it, so I add it.
@@johnadahl7477 It's naturally unfair to the singer of a song when the song isn't released. There's no good reason for it not to be out, B&B are just stubborn jerks about these things. So what if it's "time has passed", technically proper good music never passes out of fashion. And 'Just Like A Notion' was even more of a technically lost cause than this, and they didn't even like that when making it, and that's put on record. But I don't believe there's any weak weak songs on any album, though some of Side 2 of "Ring Ring" album are a bit trying on the wrong day, as is B-side 'Santa Rosa' and the way 'Rubber Ball Man' is written, and 'Thank You For The Music' being made a single and then finding its way onto "ABBA Gold" just because the title is guiltily interpreted by their earlier shunning public to mean something other than what the song was written for. And they leave off 'Get On The Carousel' for this. Hands down 'Crying Over You' worst thing ABBA never recorded thank God, and what were they thinking, coming up with this even as a demo as late as 78?! It sounded old in 1970! BEFORE they were even a thing.
I know this could have been one of their best songs. Thanks for doing it
This is such a great song, i wish they'd release it

What magic you have made!!!
Thank you
it's pretty rough bootleg remix of whatever quality version they could find, by the sounds of it.
Have you heard the real cuts (unfinished) that came from ABBA?
Much better sounding... by a country mile.
Stunningly beautiful! Bravo!
Superbă!!!!!! , felicitări!!!!!
Sounds like closest to what we should get from the 4. Brilliant work!
@@Lottprein Thank you. 🫶
I used to sing and write more Czech songs. Well, he also tried two songs sung in English. Please stay Why don't you give me Get from you remix would be my life like a fairy tale with a happy ending. And asking you is quite presumptuous and I don't have much courage. You really are the master of the top mix ☝️
Great job! Very good remix & a new touch to this song! Thank you so much!

Wow great job 👍
Hi Ralph,i really like your remix of this song, youve given it a whole new identity,it is excellent, thankyou😊.
barely.
but with todays Ai, one could think it would be possible to finish this song with abbas vocies and intruments for a full song, and use the complete lyrics from gemenis version
That'd actually be a good idea for ai in this case. And maybe I'm tripping but they should definitely release someday this song, even if it's an Abba Arena exclusive
