Love this vlog lol! I have a dark lord and have it placed high up so that I can appreciate the leaves from underneath - they are absolutely STUNNING and the new growth is spectacular... and the petioles... Dark and moody 19/10

Alocasias (elephant ear) are what started my plant journey, I found several growing in waste ground and potted them up (outside though because they're huge!)... then came the Philodendron, the Peace Lily, the Pothos family, my darling ZZ. They give me both joy and purpose, learning about them, fussing over them, buying them poles. Thank you for the beautiful planty content

Bunnings. So funny. I was caught in a major lightning storm last week and found Bunnings en route to shelter from the storm. 2 hours later I headed out. Not empty handed.😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉

The little variegated aquatic plant you liked seems to be houttuynia cordata, aka Chameleon Plant. Pretty invasive.
The comment about runners on the Amydrium struck me because my Monstera epipremnoides/esquilito has made some this winter. I don't know whether to cut them back or just be patient and see if they leaf out later.
Really enjoyed the plant shopping, but I would have been there looking for hours, ha.

So we have Home Depot, Orchard Supply Hardware, Lowe’s and Ace Hardware here, which is our version of Bunnings. If I ever visit Australia, I want to visit Bunnings even though I won’t be able to take any plants home just so I can feel like a local 😅

Man how do I find plant people like you guys. I need people better and more knowledgeable to learn from. Nobody I know besides my mom is a plant person. I was pretty much exclusively an outdoor garden person, but. Got more house plants and have since become addicted. Putting my monstera on its first pole soon. It's growing like crazy and filled out it's pot and ready for another go.

Great Vlog! Awesome to finally see the legendary bunnings (for a non Australian) - it looks awesome - we have homebase which is similar - but crap. i think i would find it hard to leave the growers.

Just now seeing this, and I love it! 😆 Funny thing about y'all and the "elephant ear" type alocasia...mine only thrive indoors, and they flower constantly! I put them outside though, they just attract every pest in the neighborhood and shit out. And the jewel types? Lol, forget it. They die before I've even pulled into my parking space.
