    The thing is... Harden can be successful on an off night as a playmaker. WB can't. If scoring isn't going for WB this man keeps trying to shoot and barely plays for others. There's plenty ways to help your team without scoring. Play defense, BE A POINT GUARD and make plays. WB had a great season ok, undeniable. But Harden is MVP in my eyes. Idc about rebounds. It's nice to have as a PG but not necessary. Harden is by far the best playmaker and passer and has the more reliable jump shot and he played better defense this year than WB (don't come at me with steals and block stats pls, that's silly). The man plays so effortlessly and is incredibly efficient being flashy and shit... Not to mention IQ and handles. But hey, stats and storylines rule my man. Good shit WB, you did it this season. I wish you did this with KD but you got too much pride. Guess it worked well for both. You get to struggle, not win shit but MVP and be the man you always wanted to be and KD manages to play better individually and probably get a ring. Good luck finding another star to play alongside you next year but we all know how playing with superstars goes with you don't we? I hope you've learned from your mistakes and manage to keep a star if one is to come to OKC. Good luck my man.

    Kawhi is MVP, plays both sides better than anyone else could. There should be an offensive player of the year award.

    Please Nba if ever mvp voting is already close...please give consideration of deciding who's gonna get the mvp after this series....I mean just think of it it'll be soo unfair to Harden if they hand the Mvp trophy to Westbeast ....same with Westbrook......so to be fair...just let them finish this series so that we can decide who really is the REAL MVP

      Lakers Dynasty nba manipulate every awards man, they will give Mvp for the best player of this series and will be harden, i know mvp is for regular season but nba always manipulate everything, how the fuck they will give Mvp for westbrook with embarassing performance like this, harden will be mvp easily

    I'm guessing a lot of writers/voters want to change their MVP vote after this one. Stat padding in the regular season isn't going to work in the playoffs.

    This game is why I think Harden's a much better individual player than Russ is, because early on Harden realized that his jump shooting touch wasn't there so then he decided to switch it up and start fighting through contact to score. Great players often find ways to win and that's what Harden did.

      Edward Jimenez bruh Westbrook played terrible and his team played good enough to keep up for 1 half the rockets are not that much better

    • @nindotaf2134
      @nindotaf2134 Před 7 lety

      Noah Small rockets have a system that works for them. They have sharpshooters everywhere that okc lack. Think about it, okc literally only has bigs yet they were getting destroyed in the second half. Oladipo was nonexistent shooting like 1 for 12. Sure Westbrook made bad plays here and there, but it's the team that didn't function well.

    • @atleelang4050
      @atleelang4050 Před 7 lety +3

      Westbrook had a better team last year before he chased the best piece of it out of town. The ugly hero ball they play is what he wants - it's the only way for a second-tier star like him to pad his stats and steal mvp votes from real stars.

    • @nindotaf2134
      @nindotaf2134 Před 7 lety

      Atlee Lang whenever Westbrook had a triple double this year, they won 80% of the time. U played yourself. He didn't chase anyone out. Btw Kd left on his own terms without even telling his teammates. Just because he gets triple doubles doesn't mean he stat pads. Now if they came with losses, that'd be a problem. But it's not. Like I said, they've won a majority of the time when he did aquire those triple doubles

    • @atleelang4050
      @atleelang4050 Před 7 lety

      They won more often last year than they did this year. They won when KD, a legit mvp candidate, was running the offense. With Westrbook running it, they barely made the playoffs.

    Too many stupid haters who either dont watch or know anything about bball
    1. MVP is the regular season award for 82 regular season games and how yall gon say he does not deserve MVP after 1 "playoff game" and too bad the results are already in lol
    2. Westbrook had to take about 5-6 rushed shots because of two for ones and shot clock (which teammates kept passing over with like 2 seconds left)
    3. out of the turnovers 3 were dropped passes and 1 was a questionable charge call
    4. OKC got outcoached Harden was super cold in the first half but he got switch against kanter and adams for many easy lay-ups then he got hot in the end, also OKC could not find any spacing as about 3-4 players packed the paint
    5. LOL at OKC bigs not getting rebounds because they were letting russ stat pad, reason why russ gets free throw rebounds is to start fast break which OKC desperatly needs as they lack half court offense shooting and OKC as a team led rebounding this season and kanter led double doubles off the bench, it is not like they arent used to getting rebounds it is just that one game they were out muscled
    6. harden has way better team, people say anderson and eric gordon wasnt good before harden but thats false, only reason they werent viewed as valuable b4 the season is becuase they were injury prone and they remained healthy this year its not like they are trash players who just make shots because of harden (anderson led 3pt makes the year before curry and averaged 20pts and eric gordon averaged 22.3 pts per game the season he was relatively healthy) + lock down defender ariza and beverly who can also knock down 3s and also added 1 of the best scoeres in the league lou williams
    7. This also proves that triple double is important for okc as russ didnt get one and they lost the game
    8. It is the first game harden scored more than westbrook this season in okc hou match up, before this harden was 20pts on 37% shooting, also it is only one game and yall act like westbrook turns the ball over way more than harden dou its harden who led nba in turonovers, and for yall who brings up usage rate, then it also means harden avg more turnovers than westbrook on less usage rage and no body brings up the fact that harden also harden led the league in ball possession time which means that harden also harden only shot 1.4% fg and 0.2% 3pt on a less workload and westbrook led PER in NBA by far and above harden (BTW PER accounts for tru shooting and all the etc, why is it that PER till last year was the msot important stat but suddenly not for the haters this year?)
    9. if yall really only care about winning then dont care about reuglar season MVP either
    10. OKC wins next game yall prob go after harden saying who the real MVP is and hate on him.. smh lol, both had historic season deserving of MVP, just witness the greatness and be grateful
    Show less

      FunnieJoonie Joun heat fan here, i dont hate okc or west, but for me he' s the most overrated player since melo, he just like mcgrady was, when mcgrady has nothing in his team in magic his stats are ridiculous like westbrook now and everyone say best player in the league , but put mcgrady and westbrook on good team and they will choke , they cant does this, westbrook is the reason why my heat not face thunders in 2014 finals, thunders was the best team in the league in 2014, i dont fucking care about his triple double, because he cant do this with durant, lebron can do this with 2 others stars in his team, if lebron plays on this thunders team he will average 35 ppg, 12 r and 12 a, westbrook deserves this thunders team, because he only care about stats, and this trash team will give these stats
