You basically keep click and holding on the room a detector square close to him. You basically keep trying your best to lure him to the next room while also occasionally click and holding on the fungi to your sides.

If this basically makes any sense, the luring is a lot less garunteed and more RNG-ish rather than something like Rosline. Just keep luring him as much as you can.
