As it turns out, there are a great many intriguing facets about ants, many of which paint the little critters as shockingly close to human. As it turns out ...

Just imagine there are millions of microscopic wars going on around us and we have no idea. On your roof a spider is in an epic battle with a cockroach, well on your outside porch an army of ants wage war against a colony of termites. It's pretty cool when you think about it
Hell yeah ant wars
Today there was a war going on, Black ants vs. Red ants, I began helping the red ones by killing the black ants because there would be like groups of fighting. There was like three black ants vs. one red ant, so I helped them out
+Joseph Puentes Actually, you should have helped the black ones, they don't have defense, they don't bite you, but what about that red ant, they bite you, they have defenses too much way from the top.
+Joseph Puentes Actually, you should have helped the black ones, they don't have defense, they don't bite you, but what about that red ant, they bite you, they have defenses too much way from the top.
actually it depends on the species lots of ants that are black have defense like Paratrechina longicornis black crazy ant they are pretty tough ants some red ants such as leptothorax acervorum they are pretty weak .
i personally find ants incredibly interesting and fun to watch but i just hate it when they come too close :P
GerryBow I like to pour bleach on them......=3
good for youuuuuu? now i dont REALLY want to meet you in person
its an effectie method of pesticide that does not harm the enironment
bleach? hm
yep, it kills the ants nd destroys their pheromone trails before it dissipates
Makes you feel bad about killing ants
When I was a kid, I weeped whenever an ant hill was destroyed.
Excellent
I mean I killed an ant because it keeps taking my guinea pigs food so every hour I have to check on them.
I feed them spiders,
no
Seeing how smart ants are, It wouldn't surprise me to see Planet of The Ants. XD
Ants are already everywhere. They're just better off not wasting the time and resources to wage nuclear war against the humans as it wouldn't actually benefit them.
ShotgunLlama And they couldn't do it.
+ShotgunLlama when they would be able to resist nuclear radiation like cockroaches they would rule the world after our species is dead i think but unfortunateli they would be all dead after a global nuclear war
DeadDudeGaming they’re rulers of the earth!
Play Planet Ants now on playstore 😁🇵🇭
I, for one, welcome our new ant overlords.
+Sam West he said it in the vid so just pay attention
WittyDroog same it's only a matter of time before they start praying on humans
I for one have a soft spot for ants and I actually like when they live around my home. Here is a fact for you home owners (this way maybe next time you will think twice before getting that ant poison). Ants saved our home from termites. They despise termites and killed all the termites that were ravaging our home. It costs thousands to spray to get rid of the little f*ckers and they usually come back anyway so the ants were a Godsend to us. So if you have a termite problem, don't be so quick to kill off the little soldiers in your back yard.........
Do not despair my friend, I have the anti-venom.
why haven't ants taken over the world yet
Look beneath you they already have........
Good glob
That guy they live alongside us but they will never be able to beat us and we won't beat them
Echo TheEcho Until one genetic splicing goes wrong, we should be fine. :P
Indoor Kite 1. plenty of people on earth are set up for any type of apocalyptic scenario
2. if they become a threat we would just use our endless supply of weapons
3. we would probably find any sort of scientific solution to this in just a month because we have so many research facilities that could change their priorities very fast
In short, we're prepared for nearly everything. The only thing that could end humankind is if Earth is destroyed.
Ants also have zombie problems
the tiny walking dead
Velvet ant is intresting it has some hair
Diego Anton Santiago The Velvet ant is actually a type of ground-wasp.
Isn't the cordeceps fungus a zombie disease or parasite??
Ants are so briliant!
yeah they are really cool and more effektive then humans i realy like them ^^
Yeah, more effective than your grammar.
The more I learn about ants, the more frightening they become.
Another one: Ants are more closely related to wasps and bees than other terrestial bugs.
Yawn .
Glenn Bowman Jr. yeah that’s where the evolved from, wasps
Yeah.. ants and wasps are closely related. Bees on the other hand, are quite different to ants and wasps, as far as i know..
Wasps and ants have similar social behaviors. I’m not surprised
i think we as humans have more in common with ants then we do with dogs or cats.....now thats terrifying!
DarkLocust infact we are much worse...
fabulous and true... the best yet.
So... Ants are badasses...
Who wouldda thunkit
***** Time for a fry-up, then!
I feel happy about myself now :)
bonus fact :D
They yawn like humans
But never sleep
@@mazadancoseben4818 wrong
I always pay attention to ants and totally get mad at people who kill them. My curiosity led me here, I figured I can learn a lot from them if I can just understand their ways...wow.
They also keep other bugs away as well, such as attacking and killing colonies of the subterranean termites. So they're great to have around your house, just be careful not to stand on their mounds. Fire ants will tear you up quick.
+Joe Green And careful with food cause they may swarm inside yo house!
I made a discovery once, I put ant-killer down near a colony in my backyard once, the Ants surprisingly did not go near it and started coming out in my house rather than in my yard.
I'm amazed at how they farm both fungi and livestock. Heck, they even BRING their livestock with them when they move house! Isn't that caring :)
What if they were as big as us?
Now I wonder what we humans do is nothing but very common for social creatures other than the super intelligence we have
Thanks for sharing. An ant can lift 20 times its own body weight. If a 175-pound man had the comparative strength of an ant, he could lift four tons.
I swear if ants where at least the size of dogs then we would be fucked
hahhahhah
we would be for sure
Are you kidding me? If they were the size of squirrels we would be screwed
yeah,i think when they would be bigger,we would have to fear them.they are able to kill a human without being dogsized, because some of them are really strong and because of their mass.they could probably kill a sleeping single human,i think
They were size of a dog or more in dinosaurs age
After seeing them separating their dead from the rest of the colony, they've had my respect since I was a kid.
Fantastic! I don't think I knew any of this! I think there should be a gritty reboot of the movie "Antz," in light of this new information. It could be incredibly epic.
Imagine an issue of Ant Man where Hank Pym or Scott Lang tries to liberate a group of enslaved ants from their masters or learning to herd aphids from ants.
NEW CALL OF DUTY CONFIRMED!!! Call Of Duty:Ant Warfare
+JakeInTheCase bruh that came out last year its all about that COD: Black ants 2

Our search for sentient life isn't too far from home from the sound of it
Simon is a fantastic narrator. He doesn't have any quirks in his speech pattern like many youtubers do and his voice is very soothing to boot. We'll disregard the common butchering of foreign names XD
They seem to be living some sort of intelligent life in silence.
Giant ant will take over the Earth in 2025. Mark my word.
Long live the Queen!
Mark my words, I don't care if I have to stab the queen with my broken bones, humans will remain as earths dictators!
Observer Uni-Centrix Alpha that would be sick XD
Observer Uni-Centrix Alpha
The queen is dead. Long live the queen.
KC Wong Giant ants would exist, except they'd be crushed under the weight of their own exoskeletons.
KC Wong I thought giant ants already existed during the dinosaur era
Army ants have no eyes. They just march onward in a straight line (hence the "army" part of their name) until they find something to eat. They also operate on sort of a collective intelligence. The more ants there are, the more clever they become...or so I've heard.
*True story: iMade a strange observation, some months ago.. having noticed some ants crawling around in my dog's little marble dog food bowl. iPicked it up & put it in my 1200w Kenmore microwave for about 1.5 minutes, attempting to kill 'em off. The ants seemed to be unphased at all by the microwave, though the dry dog food was quite warm. The li'l boogers apparently are also impervious to electromagnetic radiation in the microwave spectrum.
***** *
Lmao... solid copy.
Ya, they are too small and it has been said that they are able to find the cool spots within the microwave.
Clayton Gilbert www.independent.co.uk/environment/nature/let-me-ask-you-this-why-dont-ants-get-killed-in-the-microwave-9579667.html
Also a true story. I saw two ant colonies at war once as a child, and being bored I watched, one side won and then I left thinking about the impending slaughter. That very week I noticed the ants that lost were raiding food and to my surprise they sent it to the colony that won, later that same week they were fighting again, so I'm pretty sure they can also set basic treaties and food tributes.
I already knew about the stitching up wounds because of the film apocalypto
I know I had to watch it again. i really enjoyed it
This was awesome love it!!!!!!
Wow, Ants r smart
So different than how i used to think of them as .
This stuff is amazing...ants are quite remarkable!! I cant decide what fact was more interesting, but i am fascinated beyond belief at the fact that some are reliant on slave labor and that the slaves have revolts and whatnot!!! I see so many parallels between humans and ants and its completely bizarre! And we think we are so different than the animal world!! lol
Satan That was my point!
Satan Awwwkwarrrd...
+EpixRoblox lol
Tara Shaw its not slave labor its mutalism

Ants are very very smart,my colony of camponotus alborparsus(land dwelling carpenter ants) clogged their plaster nest with sand in their out world, making me unable to see them, they do have a sense of privacy.

ANts also have toll roads, its been observed that there will be ants(probs bigger ones) that over look a highway of ants transporting food and sometimes grab an ant ,put him aside to take its food and bring it to their colony
You can also tell the dofference between the genders of ants. If it sinks its a female ant, if it floats, its a buoyant
Ants are ourselves in another life. Another time.
Damn cool
Wow! Just Wow
I new facts 1-9. I have recently become very interested in the subject and have caught a queen to raise a colony (I have some larvae! Also, I found the queen on my table, so I didn't kill a colony,)
director: new movie guys ! its called spartants
The ants also do calculus to determine which rate of speed of working is the most efficient

Can anybody enlighten whether ants are sentient?? i.e. Can ants feel pain? I think ants avoid heat. So does that indicate that ants are sentient???
There is a species of ant in my yard that herds green aphids for their honeydew….I just wish they different use my new young Apple tree as their farm😂
