The Perun 2 torch is great for camping, fishing, skinning / butchering and anything else that you need a handsfree light source such as changing a flat tire of a night. If you want the brightest torch or flashlight for the job, these Olights are hard to beat.

I bought one of these for use at work primarilly as a head torch, I found it to be quite heavy for a head torch, okay to wear for 30 minutes to an hour but not all night, and no good for use on a miners or cunstruction helmet, if it had a small battery pack at the back of the head gear that you could connect to the torch to balance it, it would be awesome for that purpose. I now carry it soley in my pocket and use the magnetic base on machinery and find its perfect for that. I am often cleaning it with brake clean and contact cleaner and find the anodising holds up find and have had 0 issues with it.
I rate it and would 100% buy another.

Olight are sh*t hot. I own a perun 2 and several others I have gifted a few as well. One of the best torches on the market. Always having sales that's when to get one or a bundle deal.

The proximity feature is a safety feature so that if it comes on in a bag or something it won't start a fire. Also, after 1 min of it being in proximity mode, it will shut it off. I always lock all my Olights when they are gonna be in a bag just so that it can't turn on and drain the battery unnecessarily.
