There is a general lull in fighting in the former Yugoslavia.
But Bosnian Serb troops around Brcko, in the north west of the country are taking no chances.
They remain on the alert - ready to defend the strategic area linking Serb-held territory in the east and west of Bosnia.
There may be a move towards peace, but Bosnian Serb troops in Brcko do not want to risk losing this strategic piece of land.
Brcko lies in north-eastern Bosnia and is part of a narrow tract of land which connects Bosnian Serb territory in the east and west of the country.
They remain on alert, looking after their weapons should the Bosnian and Croatian government troops resume their recent onslaught.
This bridge over the River Sava is itself a victim of war.
With the river dividing Croatia from Bosnia, the bridge itself has been attacked.
Brcko is a town littered with the debris of war.
Following the expulsion of many non-Serbs from the town, Bosnian government troops to the south of Brcko have conducted occasional artillery attacks.
Despite the bombardments, the people of Brcko try to live as normal a life as possible. Doing their shopping and getting by.
However, there is always the danger of renewed assaults.
