    As for the handle, I prefer a wooden handle. I was a carpenter for many years and swear by wooden hammers. Height and weight are also very important. nice offer

    I have to admit i have a garage. full of hatchets but my go to hatchet is a Gransfors Bruks i paid 100 bucks for 8 years ago

      Why pay that much for a axe/hatchet when you can buy a cheap one for less than 50 bucks and put any edge you want with angle grinders or a sharpening file and a vice it just baffles me you're paying for twice the price of one i got my hatchet from the hardware store it had a very thick edge right off the bat but than i sharpened it with a angle grinder for less than half a hour and i put a razor edge on it did some light and sandpaper scratches to the edge so it smoothens it out and bunch of straps through leather belt the end result was a perfect razor edge cutted like butter and for those saying "u get better quality steel from grandfors bruks" I haven't sharpened my hatchet for an entire year it cuts like butter and still cuts paper like a razor blade i just dont get it why pay so much for a hatchet or axe when you get the same performance from less than half an hour and 20-30 bucks is all u pay for it feels like ur just paying for the brand not the axes

      No, people that make videos like this typically have no clue what they’re talking about, they find products online from other peoples ranking list and they record videos of themself reading the generic description of said product.

    Best hatchet but no Gransfors Bruks?

    • @andlem
      @andlem Před 5 měsíci +1

      After reading all the updates: The best times for Gransfors Bruks are gone, using recycled steel with unknown mixtures, less quality craftsmanship, overpriced, overrated ... there are much better companies on the market.
