    Today we tackle a dual sector with a one hour session which we started around 10:30pm ... even for close to midnight we still had a very decent amount of traffic.
    This video looked at covering a dual sector on Central and South sector, where we got traffic in/out of Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted and a few overflights!

    This is awesome man, as a certified AT controller in Tucuman tower SANT, Argentina. Where we don't even dream of having as much traffic as you have irl in britain or in Vatsim tbh. We have time to make some tea between flights but it is a awesome experience. Recent follower but I love ur content, ur ATC videos and ur P3D flight-alongs, keep the positive vibes my dude. Cheers 🇦🇷🇦🇷

    Love your ATC videos. It has been 5 years since I last controlled. I was C1 rated in Toronto FIR-CYYZ. I forgot how much fun it is. Unfortunately real life has got in the way, but I do at some point want to return to ATC on Vatsim. Keep up the excellent work. Your the boss dude.

    So I recently got a “descend FL090 by WAYPOINT” command from ATC which I read back. FMC was showing me a 2000 fpm descent, so I immediately started to descend, since I also needed to slow down to 250 (was over 290). He got a bit angry with me for beginning the descent and told me to descend to FL120, and then later confirmed 090. Who was wrong? What should I have done better? Where was the miscommunication?

    • @Planky-The-Plank
      @Planky-The-Plank Před 2 lety +1

      If he told you “descend FL090 by WAYPOINT” then yeah, that means descend to FL90, and make sure you are at FL90 by that waypoint, so he should've given a clearer instruction if he wanted you to descend to a different FL but maintaining a certain descent rate.

    Amateur radio licence holder here so used to giving R reports, we also give signal as well 1-9 or 9+
    Edit: or poor tech setup, obvs. Hard to know which I imagine

    brilliant video, quick question, how do you know when to descend people and to what FL?

    • @LONController
      @LONController  Před 3 lety +2

      This is one we get all of the time! - my short answer is... we just know! :P - But, most charts have level restrictions by certain points and we also have certain restrictions for the transfer of control of the aircraft.
      We also factor in what the aircraft is and the rate at which they can decide. Helps when flying almost daily! :P
