Second, I suspect that Melissa sabotoged Kelly's kids' stuff every chance she could - I'll just leave that there. Finally, you are such a great storyteller! As a superfan of both dance moms and AUDC... I'm thrilled you are finally coming out with all the "behind the scene" insanity! Your "true fans" always knew that you were only out for the best interest of your kids... no matter how those dang producers made it look! I love these videos can't get enough! ❤❤

I'm enjoying Abby's videos. Nice to see her getting to be her. Lifetime made her out to be such a monster. I'm sure she had her moments, but don't we all? We just don't have a camera following us around deciding what to show and what not to. Love ya and praying for a full recovery from the broken leg. ☺️

Regardless of all the hate and criticism, I have always liked Abby and appreciated her teaching methods.
If you want to be a dancer, you have to accept correction and not fall to pieces every time things get tough.
As a child, I had a dance teacher who was very similar to Abby in her methods.
She was tough on us, but I respected her for it. It made me want to push myself to be better.
Anyway, the dance world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, and all Abby does is prepare them for that. 💓
...Also, I pronounce costume the same way. 😂
There’s a difference between being tough on a dancer, and being blatantly cruel. Tough teachers don’t make fun of their students appearance and things they cannot control.
I completely agree. I just always thought of her as the Mike Ditka of Dance, that’s all. Did she go overboard? Only when forced for by producers. When producers won’t let little girls go eat until they get some drama on camera, you give them what they want to get those girls fed.
Also, a lot of her girls wanted to be famous. You have to have tough skin to be in Hollywood. Coddling them would’ve been doing them a disservice.
It was also reality TV. We got to see an hour out of a week. There was nothing to gain from happy moms, happy girls, and happy Abby…….it wouldn’t keep people interested, controversy sells.

There are plenty of dance teachers that are stern without being abusive
@Just Karen coddling them wouldn't help but taking them down, yelling at them that they deserve nothing and making them insecure is not the way to go. You can teach them with positive reinforcement rather than constantly telling them they are not good enough and calling them losers and useless
Love you Abby!! I used to watch dance moms with my mom when I was 12 or 13. And I still watch it to this day 😂

I loved watching dance moms when it first came out. I was only a few years older then the girls. Now that I’m much older and a mom, I love Abby! I love her values and how passionate she is! I love seeing this real side of her and have binged all her videos! ❤️
It would be interesting to know what your creative process is when you create a routine. Like how do you put mouvement together etc. Some of the things we would have loved to see more on the show :)

Seeing the old show reminds me of back when it actually aired years ago and my girls were younger. The three of us would snuggle up on the couch together and watch each new episode. Lol Now my Young Ladies and I are watching you on CZcams♥️ Thank you so much for sharing!

I don’t know Abby, the way you speak about the producers of Dancemoms gives similar vibes to how some of your former students speak of you. Those producers and the networks also made you a lot of money.

One of the things I love about abby is the way she tells it like it is and the truth hurts sometimes. I firmly believe that if someone is talking about you they are leaving other people alone and who cares what other people think anyways!!.💗💯

Just wanted to say that you are an inspiration to me. I grew up doing piano lessons, voice lessons, theater camp, the whole gambit basically. I always wanted to perform because I saw acting and dancing as an artform; to tell a story and share a message. Unfortunately I have a spinal injury from a car accident and what you said about “Am I really living?” hit close to home for me. Maybe I can’t perform like I used to. But I’ve taught myself how to draw and paint and am even working on writing my first poetry book. This isn’t what I imagined for myself in life but I’ll find a way to keep producing art and just make it work. Keep being the amazing and inspirational person that you are!!

i really loved the format of the abby lee after class videos but i wish she would make it like a series. almost like a reacting to each episode so we could see her reaction to how the show portrayed her.

They got what they wanted which was “fame” and that’s what they did! To be honest some of them turned into brats lawwwddd sorry but it’s so true!! Love you and support you 100% ! I’m so sorry about ur mom ! My mom is on hospice here at home and it’s so hard and I lost my job due to covid so we are having a really hard time bc it’s just her and I ! There is no help ! If you had not become a dance instructor and choreographer, what other job would you have wanted to do?
I honestly can’t see her doing a different career because she is so talented and passionate about what she does. But I would be curious to hear what Abby’s answer to this question would be. 🤔
You look beautiful. Dance Mom’s was a great show. It was entertaining and that’s why it went on for so many seasons.
We’re still talking about it, and many of us wish it had continued on. You’ve done many other TV shows in different capacities. You did well for yourself, a hometown studio that was successful, then on to some fame.

Credit to Abby for the show, choreography, costumes, teaching the kids, putting up with all the drama….
I give her the benefit of the doubt for a lot that can be said to be edited by the producers, but what gets me is the direct conversations and parts that couldn’t have been edited, like when she told Maddie that Chloe was jealous of her and she was a manipulative sneak; or when she threw the chair at Paige.
I'm very proud of you staying up to this haters because I could have done that but you have gone through so much in your life and there's some wrong with them to put you down❤❤❤❤
There’s one reason why I love Jojo is that she gave credit where credits due like she credit you for basically helping her career but you also need to take accountability for traumatizing some of these kids…. Yeah you help these kids have a career but you also traumatized them while doing so

Please please please do some more dance moms episodes reaction videos. I was laughing at the brutal honesty and I love what really went on to the edited producers version!
Let’s be real she speaks the truth. She was pressured to keep the show relevant .. which was to keep up the persona of the tough dance teacher.. just as much as the moms were pressured to be catty. The fact they act like they owe her nothing is absolute crazy. They would be nothing… especially if she was mommy dearest as a dance teacher.. it was a show we expected drama.
I’m rewatching the show right now and it’s crazy how often you can tell the drama is forced🤣 the moms literally fight over nothing. I don’t think Abby was forced to cause drama on the show like the moms were tho, she just kinda has to deal with all the moms drama lmaoo.
Not to mention the amount of editing and splicing of dialogue to make it seem like people on the show said something completely different than what they actually said or creating a caption that is entirely different to what was really being said, etc. The producers definitely manipulated situations to cause drama (like hiding the stoppers for Paige’s chair, providing cakes, gifts, etc. without explanation or even creating a phony lawyer letter that was supposedly from Melissa’s attorney that the mom’s couldn’t discuss her engagement to cause more drama on the show. And having microphones everywhere so the producers could get intel to cause even more drama and tension. People think reality TV means it is unaltered but it is just as produced as non-reality TV shows.

Hi, Abby! I’m not a dance coach but I am a cheerleading coach and I do admire your coaching philosophy. When I got my new team I had to constantly argue with parents who told me their “baby” was tired and needed more rest during training time. Seeing you having to deal with those crazy moms makes me feel for you because you weren’t thanked enough for your efforts!
