Cool vid man, I have the Trek Marlin 5 and thought I’d ride it the way it came for a while then upgrade to new bike in future. After watching all your vids it convinced me to upgrade mine too and make it my own. Thanks for the inspiration. Plus I have no idea how to assemble or disassemble a bike so it will be fun experience.
I really want to upgrade my 2018 marlin 5 I’ve up graded few things like my bars grips stem pedals stuff like that but I want to make it alittle more capable but I’m not sure what will fit and what won’t caus I don’t know much about bikes

Great video, I just purchased a 2022 Marlin 7 and looking to upgrade it was well. What do you recommend for tubeless setup? For dropper post, I was thinking oneup, thoughts? And where did you get those bolt on skewers? Keep up the good content!
I have a 2021 trek marlin 7 and I been wanting to get a dropper for a while the only problem is that there is no internal routing in the seat post so my local bike shop said they could drill a hole in my seat post for the dropper
Rather than drill holes in your frame. Upgrade the crank and BB to deore MT5100 hollowtech II , then it can fit the cable in through the BB shell. I did it a few months ago, so it can be done.
Must be nice to purchase bike parts in America. In Canada, your less fortunate neighbours...we can't even buy a fucking 8 speed chain and cassette for our commuters bikes...must be nice. Really. :(

Upgrade the wheels to thicker ones if your gonna hit any downhill parks. I knocked mine outta true at Bryce resort 2nd run

Yeah you could have the shop do it if you want to drop her post I think it's well worth it.
