My viewing is a year after the fact, but such a good talk. We need to hear more like this.
It's ridiculous the way we are blind to what we're really doing.
The real question should be: “Can we rebuild democracy in the US?” The harsh reality is that democracy is already over here and the chaos we are watching is simply manifestations of the growth of authoritarianism in its place.
Most suffering stems not from shortages, but from hopelessness. If we have unstifled resources to farm, build, and innovate, and our work is not continually siphoned by opportunists, shortages will disappear and hopelessness will follow it.
