It's odd - there are songs from my past that I never particularly cared much for, and when I hear them again, through YOUR lovely voices, they fill me with melancholy and make that period of time a cherished time - that I didn't even know about! You are all individually beautiful parts of humanity made radiant and indelible by what you create together.

Ok so I don’t know what this choir choir choir thing is. Is it like a bunch of people sight reading and doing a concert out of nothing? If so, then that’s awesome!
You show up, pay $5, get a lyrics sheet and then Daveed and Nobu teach the song over the next 1-1.5 hours. No sheet music, we learn by ear. Once we've got it we record a video. So not exactly out of nothing but not bad for a drop in choir that doesn't require auditions.
At our home bar, Clinton's (693 Bloor St W, Toronto), in the back room. We meet most Tuesdays & Wednesdays to sing original arrangements of rock & pop songs!
sorry, but i found this to be just another 'safe' rendition of a challenging song. There were many opportunities to exploit the talents that exist within this choir but, instead, went with an easy arrangement that ended up being just another vanilla production, I have watched dozens of these Choir! videos which, in the end, all end up sounding the same which any moderate choir could replicate. It's time to step it up a notch. You guys can handle it.
Daveed can make much more complicated arrangements but whether or not we can learn them is another story. I've been to enough "complicated" choir nights to imagine that finding the right balance between fun to listen to and easy enough for a drop in choir to learn is a challenge.

I was never a big fan of ELO or Jeff Lynn but this is one of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard. It hits all my buttons.
