Somebody gave us a small older generator Honda EM500 because they were moving across the country and didn't want to take it with them. It looks like new, but wouldn't start until I soaked and cleaned the carburetor. Now it starts with one tug on the rope. I don't need a generator but it was free! 😊
Looks like a useful little generator. At our other place I used a 4500 watt Homelight I had for years and it ran everything It sounded like it was going to twist that 8hp crankshaft in two when the 52 gallon double 4500 watt element water heater would fire up😅. My 15kw pulls all but the electric range here now. Have a good weekend!

I am interested in alternate energy, such as generators and small-scale solar power. I'm not sure I understand who the market is for open-frame inverter-generators; despite the 30A connector, it is NOT RV owners, as they are way too noisy to be welcome at campgrounds. Are more tools (perhaps LED lighting or battery chargers) at job sites becoming sensitive to poor power from construction-style generators?
Do you ever install soft start kits on an ac unit. Supposed to be good for a longer life compressor. Also to run ac on a generator. Asking for Treasure Coast Florida when hurricanes hit and no power. Can't afford whole house generator. Thanks. Wish you were near me.
They have a unit you can put into your or put on to your regular generator and make it an inverter generator I know about 75 bucks and I put a life of me I can't remember what they're called, inverter conversion kit I believe it was
If you keep buying no name knock offs you're going to keep having issues with them. They all have their issues but name brands are easier to get parts and warranty. I guess it could be a review item too sent by the manufacturer for. Free. In that case, 👌

I only buy untainted fuel unless I'm on a long trip and have no choice. Most Weigels has it.
