Just watched Blakes last Voice appearance as a coach. Many of his past contestants appeared and I remembered this dude from Season 3. Terry was not on the program last night but I remembered this performance as if it were yesterday. I thought he had this show won that year.
If you like Terry he was in a Scottish band called DRIVEBLIND that opened up for Candlebox in 2006 for a run. Now he is in a band called Lotus Crush with the original lead singer Peter Klett,and drummer Scott Mercado both formerly of CANDLEBOX. 3 Of my favorite original vocals by Terry are "fool rides again","light sleeper", and "silhouette"... I was at a run of shows where Terry flew back for the birth of his son and then back to the tour and I still have the "IT'S a boy" cigar he passed out in Nashville... He is an amazing vocalist!
That's actually how I ended up here. On a Candlebox kick and I love Peter Klett which led me to Lotus Crush and Terry! I've been commenting on all his Voice videos like Lotus Crush!! Lol. He should hire us for PR lol
The other contestants' reaction at the 0.12 mark says it all...one line into the performance. Even the poor guy that "battled" him is in awe...he shows his respect at the 0.44 mark.

Although it may look easy to hit some of these notes Terry is hitting IT'S NOT. Look at his facial expressions. You have to push from different areas depending on the impact that you are attempting to establish vocally. We all have to remember that in most cases singers are born with a certain range. Through some time and dedication you can expand on your range however it won't be as natural as it is for someone like Terry, or BIGGER-Steve Perry. So no it's not effortless but the good one's make it appear as such.

Arya Kaiba Nicholas David was his only competition
i remember being 12-13 watching every episode and pulling for him only to watch the finals and see him get snubbed .
The other remaining contestants' reaction after only one line at the 0:13 mark says it all. They knew they were outmatched.
It was time-slipped so they could show him singing the first line. The reaction was really at 0:08, after the first note he sang.
