- Hi! I'm a beginner runner training for her first marathon in April 2024. Read below for a little back story!
September 12th, 2013. I embarked on what would be the most life-changing year of my life without even knowing it. The past years have paled in comparison and I miss the person I was back then. This is me deciding I want to do whatever I can to become my old self again and finally move on from the past.
This is the start of me documenting my journey. I am literally running back to the past one more time. I am training to run a marathon in the city where it all began and write a novel inspired by my year in England. I'm not a runner or a writer but this is something I promised myself I'd do and it's time to stop making excuses.

Your vlogging style is really cool. You've really gone full steam ahead with the running gear, and getting a coach. It will be me asking you for running advice before long!
Keep up the good work 👍🏻🙂
Aw thank you so much!! I very much doubt it haha 🤭 I am the one who can learn so much from you! Thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment!
I have also started training for my first marathon in February next year. Hopefully I can draw some inspiration from your content. Cheers. Hae a good prep🤙🏻
Hey! Oh wow that's really exciting! You're probably a bit further along than I am already? It would be awesome if my journey could motivate you with your prep! Best of luck to you too & I hope all goes well 😁 if you have any tips or advice let me know haha
@@RunningToMyPast I am sure you are doing just fine with your training. Just never underestimate the importance of easy runs, it can really do wonders.
@@hritikrajsinghh thank you! I really like easy runs so good to hear 😃
Absolutely LOVE the dedication! You've got this!
Thank you so much!! Really hope so 😊 it's exciting and scary at the same time!
I can’t wait to join you in your running journey 🫶🏼
Thank you so much!! That means a lot! Well, I can't wait to see you cross that finish line soon 😁🏃🏽♀️🔥
Best wishes and good luck. Training with a similar goal in mind so Iove the content.
Hi! Thanks so much for your kind comment 😊 That's awesome! Are you planning to run a race too?
Looking forward to seeing your journey unfold. We have the same watch =D!
Hey! Thanks so much for watching and commenting 😁🖐🏼 oh that's awesome! Same color too? 😲
@@RunningToMyPast Mine is the black version! Time to watch the whole journey =D
@@mikestevenson1334 oh nice! They didn't have the black one when I bought mine, only blue and grey. Haha nice, you'll be watch-ing!
@@RunningToMyPast hah! That actually made me laugh out loud. Damn puns! =D
@@mikestevenson1334 haha and they say I'm not funny! 😂😋
Best wishes. I just ran my first marathon in Houston last weekend. It was very challenging. The last 6 miles, my only thought was never to ever do this again. A week later, I am slowing thinking of running the marathon again next year to make it a better experience.
Hi! Thanks so much for your comment and well done on running a marathon!! That's an amazing accomplishment and even more so if you struggled at the end. Hehe funny right, running has a way of making you go from 'never again' to 'let's go running' in no time 😜😅
Oh I for sure get the eating too soon at run time. I either don’t eat at all or too close to the run🤦♀️🙄
Congrats on the subs!🙌
Yes same haha! I've been experimenting with eating a small meal an hour before a run and so far so good! Haven't had any cramps since. And thank you! 😁
Definitely check out Stephen King's On Writing, great book for writers. Out of all the channels documenting their running journey, your story seems very meaningful and impactful. You are going to transform so much. I love the transparency. 🙂
Aww thank you very much for your kind words! The journey does mean a lot to me in terms of personal growth. I don't care much about my speed or whatever, or about becoming a ''pro' runner. I was never fast as a kid and I'm still not, but the journey feels almost necessary for me to take. Thanks for the book recommendation too!
Really enjoying these vids and seeing how your progressing in your marathon journey 😊 pleased using the water bladder went well and the running gods were with you on this run 🙌😂 there are 100% runs that for whatever reason dont go to plan, and others that just work.
Hi! Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🥰 glad to read you're enjoying these videos! It's crazy to see how far I've come on this journey so far but also how far I still have to go atm 😂 can't wait for tapering haha
Let me know what you think & any advice is welcome! 😊
All the best
Thank you very much!
Great vid👏👏👏
Hi thank you! We follow each other on Instagram too I've noticed! 😁
@@RunningToMyPast haha, yes we do🙋🏼♂️😁
