The elders in trying to defend Moses broke one of the commandments "Do not bear false witness." written by Moses, but Stephen, accused of not following Moses actually obeyed the law as written by Moses. No matter what other people may say, as long as I obey the Words written by Moses, I will be OK.
I was covered in the Holy Spirit while listening to this teaching! I had an opportunity a few days ago to speak the gospel of my Lord Jesus to my son again! He can't believe he says and only one or maybe 2 out all 5 of my children believe and are Saved! I have backed off of speaking of my God to them, because they hardly have anything to do with me anymore. It is sad, heartbreaking really! That I had to choose one or the other, but I choose Jesus! I will always choose Him over others! Father God Saved me and gave me to His precious Son in 2016! I will not walk away or deny Him! Not even for my children or grandchildren! I have planted the seed with them all and if given the opportunity to, I will again! They cannot say that they didn't know and if they are here during the GT after the Rapture of the church, then they will know and believe, I pray!!! Thank You, Jesus!!!! I can't tell you how impactful this message was. In fact, it was a serious answer to prayer to not give up praying for people who are so blind to the truth of who Jesus is. I've watched people have this literal glazed over blindness come over them after I say anything about God, or Jesus. I've felt so discouraged, not knowing how to reach people. But I once was there too and it took the Lord using prayers of people and someone boldly saying (with love) to me, "What are you doing?!?"(I was lost in sin). That part about how Jesus fulfilled the law was such an eye- opener! I hadn't been able to fully understand that until this msg. God bless you all & guard you.
I find what you said about as we love Yeshua and discover Him, we come to love Moses more and more. This has happened with me and the entirety of the front of my Bible! I have come to love EVERY character as I discover Jesus revealing Himself to me in them. He gave us stories to help us KNOW Him, to read about these amazing people and LOVE them, is falling in love with Yeshua! I never realized this until I read Psalm 119 and saw David's heart and love for God's Law. My heart needed to love like that! Because even God's Laws given through Moses, reveal the character of Yeshua!
This is not the Torah. Torah doesn't teach Christianity. Study the Crusades. the pale of settlement, the pogroms, the Holocaust. Such are the offspring of the church. What they want is worse than those physical manifestations of what such ministries truly feel.
@@wilburkowitz7344 It is true that many wrongdoings and even crimes has been comitted in the name of christianity. You are absolutely right about that. The fact that people have done that in the name of christianity does not mean that they were true christians though. In the Torah we can read about how people sometimes rebelled and misrepresented God. It does not mean that there is anything wrong with the Torah, but rather that people who claim to represent God prove to be liars. Micah 6:8 is a summary of the meaning of the Torah. If anyone studies what Yeshua taught and did they will find it was in accordance with the Torah.
Excellent video. In Rabbinic Judaism there is what is known as the הלכה "halakha" which is the way to live out the Torah in every part of life, individually and as a community. It comes from the root word הלכ which means to "go, come, walk". In the New Covenant & all of its teachings, God has revealed HIS "halakha" for us. This stands is in stark contrast to Rabbinic Judaism's legal approach, devoid of spiritual LIFE. When Yeshua lives in us, HE fulfills the Torah in and thru us.

These podcasts have become the joy of my day! I feel like I'm getting to know Jesus more than ever before! Thank you!! Also I thought it's also interesting that in Acts 7:58 the witnesses laid their garments at Paul's feet, it almost reminds me of Elijah and Elisha when Elijah sees heaven and tears his mantel in two and Elisha picks up the pieces. I don't know if that's really going together but it made me think of it.
So blessed with this episode. Christ brought so much clarity to the reality of God and his plan of salvation and Stephen knew that. I always read the passage about the fig tree and think it is amazing in Mark 11:13 how it states that "it was not the season for figs". Christ came to scatter the sheep for the benefit of the Gentiles. I am a recipient of that blessing. The prophets said Israel would be stumbled by the rock of offense. I believe the day is approaching if not here, when the time for figs has arrived. God is doing a wonder for Israel and at the end of it they will receive the Messiah. My heart grieves that this will take place during the Great Tribulation but as with all God's instruction, the most painful lessons reveal the most amazing joys. While modern Israel seeks for the Messiah, they will realize what Jesus spoke concerning the end times is true and in the fullness of the mystery of God's will, will look on him whom they pierced. Come Lord Jesus.
I am so blessed to be able to study with you. It has been fascinating and so enlightening. I am grateful to have learned the scriptures in the way I have. The Bible from Genesis to Revelation has been God's word to me. I have understood it as history, especially in geneology and of the line of Abraham. Prophecy and seeing that fulfilled. There is fascinating stories that are as intriguing as any romance story. It is a book of relationship between the creator and His image creation, mankind- His Chosen, The Israelites, Jews. A love story of a Heavenly Father for His children. It is living words in a book of wisdom and instruction to live by Faith, Hope and Love for Our God in mind soul and strength and to love others as we also love ourselves. Amazing teaching 😊❤Although Stephen was chosen as a deacon, it doesn't negate the probability that he was a fivefold minister. He was probably an apostle or prophet, as he totaly fits the bill. I think he partly fulfilled Yeshua's prediction: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers [apostles]! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me." (Matt. 23:37 NLT) Stephen's sermon was incredibly anointed and bold.
I love that passage. The subtle mention that he was full of the spirit is such understatement. The boldness, the power, the righteous judgement. Awesome indwelling of the Lord.
Yes, Saul was there consenting to Stephen's death. Stephen prayed a prayer of remitting (John 20:21-23).... I think it took! Who else would pray for him. Great reward for Stephen if this is so.

I also believe that Stephen's face glowed during his sermon was because he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Essentially, the Lord was with Stephen while he defended himself and the law. This whole story is Satan trying to keep every soul that he can, from entering Heaven and getting back to God, our father and the Lord defending those that trust him as their savior, until we can get home to Him. Thank you for a big revelation, even to me as non-Jewish believer. When a person told me they believe in Torah, I always thought of the commandments and traditions. However, I forget that Torah isn't commandment. Commandment came much later. Torah laid out the history of God's plan and redemption of the Earth. We saw that the righteousness by faith came in Genesis through Abraham before circumcision, while the law came later in Exodus. If you said you keep Torah, you have to believe in righteousness by faith.

I can't tell you how impactful this message was. In fact, it was a serious answer to prayer to not give up praying for people who are so blind to the truth of who Jesus is. I've watched people have this literal glazed over blindness come over them after I say anything about God, or Jesus. I've felt so discouraged, not knowing how to reach people. But I once was there too and it took the Lord using prayers of people and someone boldly saying (with love) to me, "What are you doing?!?"(I was lost in sin). That part about how Jesus fulfilled the law was such an eye- opener! I hadn't been able to fully understand that until this msg. God bless you all & guard you.
I find what you said about as we love Yeshua and discover Him, we come to love Moses more and more. This has happened with me and the entirety of the front of my Bible! I have come to love EVERY character as I discover Jesus revealing Himself to me in them. He gave us stories to help us KNOW Him, to read about these amazing people and LOVE them, is falling in love with Yeshua! I never realized this until I read Psalm 119 and saw David's heart and love for God's Law. My heart needed to love like that! Because even God's Laws given through Moses, reveal the character of Yeshua!

This is not the Torah. Torah doesn't teach Christianity. Study the Crusades. the pale of settlement, the pogroms, the Holocaust. Such are the offspring of the church. What they want is worse than those physical manifestations of what such ministries truly feel.
@@wilburkowitz7344 It is true that many wrongdoings and even crimes has been comitted in the name of christianity. You are absolutely right about that. The fact that people have done that in the name of christianity does not mean that they were true christians though. In the Torah we can read about how people sometimes rebelled and misrepresented God. It does not mean that there is anything wrong with the Torah, but rather that people who claim to represent God prove to be liars. Micah 6:8 is a summary of the meaning of the Torah. If anyone studies what Yeshua taught and did they will find it was in accordance with the Torah.
Excellent video. In Rabbinic Judaism there is what is known as the הלכה "halakha" which is the way to live out the Torah in every part of life, individually and as a community. It comes from the root word הלכ which means to "go, come, walk". In the New Covenant & all of its teachings, God has revealed HIS "halakha" for us. This stands is in stark contrast to Rabbinic Judaism's legal approach, devoid of spiritual LIFE. When Yeshua lives in us, HE fulfills the Torah in and thru us.

Also I thought it's also interesting that in Acts 7:58 the witnesses laid their garments at Paul's feet, it almost reminds me of Elijah and Elisha when Elijah sees heaven and tears his mantel in two and Elisha picks up the pieces. I don't know if that's really going together but it made me think of it.
So blessed with this episode. Christ brought so much clarity to the reality of God and his plan of salvation and Stephen knew that. I always read the passage about the fig tree and think it is amazing in Mark 11:13 how it states that "it was not the season for figs". Christ came to scatter the sheep for the benefit of the Gentiles. I am a recipient of that blessing. The prophets said Israel would be stumbled by the rock of offense. I believe the day is approaching if not here, when the time for figs has arrived. God is doing a wonder for Israel and at the end of it they will receive the Messiah. My heart grieves that this will take place during the Great Tribulation but as with all God's instruction, the most painful lessons reveal the most amazing joys. While modern Israel seeks for the Messiah, they will realize what Jesus spoke concerning the end times is true and in the fullness of the mystery of God's will, will look on him whom they pierced. Come Lord Jesus.

Amazing teaching 😊❤Although Stephen was chosen as a deacon, it doesn't negate the probability that he was a fivefold minister. He was probably an apostle or prophet, as he totaly fits the bill. I think he partly fulfilled Yeshua's prediction: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers [apostles]! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me." (Matt. 23:37 NLT) Stephen's sermon was incredibly anointed and bold.

Yes, Saul was there consenting to Stephen's death. Stephen prayed a prayer of remitting (John 20:21-23).... I think it took! Who else would pray for him. Great reward for Stephen if this is so.

I also believe that Stephen's face glowed during his sermon was because he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Essentially, the Lord was with Stephen while he defended himself and the law. This whole story is Satan trying to keep every soul that he can, from entering Heaven and getting back to God, our father and the Lord defending those that trust him as their savior, until we can get home to Him. The Faith of Yeshua is the true and living (Hebraic + Abrahamic + *Mosaic* + Davidic + Judaic + Messianic + Apostolic) revelation of the Torah.
Steven's sermon is an epic summary of the Torah as a _disciplined defense_ to those who would demand a reason for the hope in Yeshua as the Messiah of Yisrael.
As a disciple of the Messiah, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, Steven would have been taught to observe all things Yeshua had commanded:
_Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures._ (Luke 24:44-45)
Starting from Moses and continuing into the Prophets and the Writings, disciples need our understanding opened so that we can comprehend the Scripture. What is that understanding? Steven is boldly telling us in Acts 7.
Steven, Peter, Paul-as well as all the other disciples described in the Apostlic writings-were zealous for the Torah of Moses. A misunderstanding of the Torah of Moses will always lead to a misunderstanding of the Faith of Yeshua.

There is an old hymn titled " the son of God goes forth to War." In the second verse goes to the martyr first whose eagle eye could pierce beyond the grave who looked and saw his Lord on high and called on Him to save.

It would appear that what most infuriated the mob was Stephen’s testimony that Christ was resurrected and stood at the right hand of His Father.

Thank you for a big revelation, even to me as non-Jewish believer. When a person told me they believe in Torah, I always thought of the commandments and traditions. However, I forget that Torah isn't commandment. Commandment came much later. Torah laid out the history of God's plan and redemption of the Earth. We saw that the righteousness by faith came in Genesis through Abraham before circumcision, while the law came later in Exodus. If you said you keep Torah, you have to believe in righteousness by faith.
