- Israel's chief military spokesman has said that the IDF has seized the bodies of three hostages from Gaza.
He named the hostages as Itzhak Gelerenter, Amit Buskila, and Shani Louk, who he said were killed at the Nova music festival on 7 October with their bodies then taken into Gaza.
Footage of 22-year-old Shani Louk being paraded after being kidnapped by Hamas militants was widely circulated on social media following the attack.

Fun fact: there is enough room for every single one of Gaza’s 2.5 million residents to take shelter in Hamas’ tunnels, but of course they don’t let them. Imagine, they’ve been in power for 17 years but have never built their people even one single bomb shelter despite knowing full well Israel will have to respond to their attacks.

Who says the bodies were preserved? The bodies were probably going through the natural decay process, maybe slowed down depending on where they were located. Also, when they mention bodies, that does not necessarily mean the whole body, it can just mean skeletal remains. They can still be Identified through skeletal remains.

I feel like the coverage of the three hostages found is very short. Their bodies were found but in what state? It’s been 7 months since the start of the war and nothing about how it was found? They were killed back in October but bodies recovered now? Not skeletal remains? And isn’t it convenient they were found in Rafah, the last safe zone? I have more questions than answers.

When they say bodies, they can mean skeletal remains. Bodies can be identified decades after death through skeletal remains.

I suspect that most, if not all, of the hostages are dead by now. Possibly one of the reasons that proposed ceasefires break down, because Hamas know that they don’t have any living hostages to return.
