- The SOCO Stallions fought bitterly for every second Saturday afternoon into the night against a big, fast, very physical Oscar Smith team, led by first year coach Chris Scott. The Tigers defense punched the Stallions in the mouth play after play, but the South County Defense held the Oscar Smith team scoreless for the last 29 minutes and four seconds to hold onto a razor thin one point lead from barely 5 minutes into the second quarter.
They sacked 6'3 Ethan Vasko repeatedly and forced several turnovers on their way to their first ever State Championship for the Lorton School. - Sport
