Spo, Mazula, Kerr were all inexperienced when they took the helm. Need new ideas not the same old retreads. One thing i am sure of is JJ would be working his ass off, thinking late into the night on how to improve the offensive and defensive schemes, obsessively studying the film. He just needs a couple of experienced voices in his staff to handle tricky locker room situations where he can lean on their experience. Ham was clueless and incompetent, JJ's competitive and obsessive nature wouldnt allow him to just stand around with hands in pockets. It wouldn't surprise me if reports came in that JJ went on a 2 week mountain cabin retreat before training camp to learn Hurley's Uconn offensive schemes and bball philosophy, studying film all day and night, lakers need that kind of personality and mindset.
