    50のおっさんです。80年代後半から90年代にかけて非常に懐かしい音源を有難うございます。やはり2000年代に入ると音もルックスも洗礼されていきますね。笑
    アメハーからスラッシュって派生してきたと思うのですが、私の周りでは当時のLAとかのヘヴィメタルに飽きた人たちがパンク~ハードコアに寄ってきたという感じでしたね。
    時代は廻るのか、gargoyleなんか新しい韓国のグループだと言われてもわからないぐらいのルックス。笑

    I'd put Casbah"s "Infinite Pain" demo up against anything before or since. Could be the best 4-song demo I've ever heard. Not a dull second on it. Shame that they moved away from that style.

      Yeah. I lived in the Tokyo area back then, and it was cool. It wasn't as wild as the US scene, because the Japanese are not as wild as Americans. Plus it was more expensive to party there. You didn't have people throwing $5 keggers with live bands in their basements, like in Mpls. But you could still catch live shows once or twice a week, with 3 to 5 bands.

    • @mork6780
      @mork6780 Před 3 lety

      No stage dives back then, and very little moshing. Some of the more crossover bands like Gabish had moshing, but only a handful of people did it.

    These are ok and a few are pretty good, BUT most of these bands aren't Thrash at all. They sound more like punk/hardcore bands. You can't compare these to old Metallica, Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, Kreator, Destruction... you know, THRASH bands.

    • @dresdendiaz3493

      I prefer the SkullKrusher's more succinct and correct answer. Metallica, early on was definitive thrash, there is no question on that. I can't stant them now, but even I won't refute that. Thrash has little to do w/ vocals, even less to do with guitar.. It's technically all in the rhythm, aka- skank beats.
