Absolutely beautiful song.
Absolute favorite band of all time.
One of my top bands! I took my daughter to the last nationwide warped tour festival and she was able to meet all the guys from Every Time I Die, it was amazing!! This song blew my mind!!
Keith's vocal reeks of muse and that blew my mind away and that RIFFF
Man, it reminds me so much of thrice, got that huge vibes but it's so good. This album is relentless, absolute banger
Totally agree with you 👍🏽 💯
I got the same feeling from it.
Hoooooooly. That was so good…
Captivating. Chills.
I’m not crying, you’re crying 😭
I feel gutted 🥺
I know Johnny mentioned "Revival Mode," but this song reminds me a lot of "Map Change" too. Map Change is heavier musically throughout, but they are similar to me with how emotionally connected and metaphorical the lyrics are to their respective lyrical themes (their hometown Buffalo and their late sister). Plus musically the outro of "Map Change" has the same only-Jordan-and-Keith-acoustic vibe as this outro.
When this song pops up on the album it’s such a huge change of pace, but so absolutely amazing. Every song felt like my new favorite and the this song hit and I was like, “fuck… that’s it”
Pretty much. This song is the eye of the storm of Radical. Hard to pick a favorite but between this, Colossal Wreck, and White
Void, this one is slightly favored because of the emotional aspect.
Phenomenal track, please cover more of the new album!
Hope you dudes get around to reacting to some more songs off the album. Love this song, but the rest of the album is absolutely savage.
Reminds me of Karnivool. The whole album is a fucking BANGERRRR. had it on repeat since it dropped 🤟🤟
God dude... I've watched this music video so many times, and every time Keith puts his hands in his pockets at the end I tear up. It's so fucking good.
First part of the song is totally Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out), perfect.. such a great tune and great tribute. Make sure you check out the album, so damn good and just riff-tastic.
Thought the same
It kills me that you havnt reacted to this entire album yet. It is fantastic. All this and war and the whip lyrically are so badass 🤘
We don’t do album reactions.. not yet
Two of the best bands still going
Great reaction, great song. Reminds me (thematically) of the Tool song "Wings for Marie Pt. 1 & 2" with the loved one suffering a terrible disease and finally succumbing to it. Just found out these guys are coming to my hometown in March of 2022 with Underoath. Thinking I am definitely going to get tickets to that one.
This song takes me somewhere else! Keith's lyrics are something else.
Have you guys had a chance to listen to the whole album yet?
fav band, cant do wrong,
Love to see Johnny getting real emotional to the lyrics but basically, how could you not. New viewer and subscriber here.
Have you guys checked out the entire album? They are just incredible even after 22 years. You both gotta get out to Buffalo NY for their christmas show some year, I know thats quite the haul but holy shit its so much fun.
Sleeper 1972…I cry at that song all the time 😂 this is such an awesome collab. ETID can do no wrong
Watching this video back now, how foreshadowing is this that Keith walks away from the band right at the beginning of the video saying I think we're done here.. kinda creepy
“Hope” is the THING WITH FEATHERS -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
- Emily Dickinson
I'm getting massive Arcane Roots vibes from this !
BANGER!
Radical dude, have you seen them live?
That outro riff reminded me of a song from city and colour
liquid shat, this is why we love u johnny
Ugh, ETID can do no wrong. Like I told Johnny on IG, this record is going to be on repeat for me haha But, I never realized what this song was about until now nor the lyrics. That opening lyric gives me chills.
Dude on the left reminds me of Paul rudd🤣
Cool song. The vocals remind me Fair to Midland
We may be watching a new evolution of ETID
Street Spirit - Radiohead, Aerials - SOAD, and this
Also RIP ETID😔
Manchester Orchestra are one of the best bands ever. ETID bringing in that flavor makes this my favorite song this year.
Nice reaction!! You guys should react to Take Your Pick on the new Ice Nine Kills album
I hovered over the video and the first thing I saw was Johnny's crotch.
God I love it here 😂
Took me way too long to get into these guys.
I'm curious if Keith is giving a nod to the Emily Dickinson poem of the same name....
almost certainly. dude was an english teacher before doing music full time. he also has a bunch of other literature references through the years. shakespeare, dostoevsky...
@@andrewb5024 yep! It would just be so much more poignant because the "thing" in Dickinson's poem.....is hope.
He mentioned on an Instagram interview the day after the album released that the title and line come explicitly from Dickinson.
Any more movie trailer breakdowns like the Mortal Kombat trailer? If so.... The Batman 🤘🏻
Maccccaasss coffeeee :(
The Word Alive - Wonderland ASAPP
Coming soon
@@nathandjohnny fuck yes babiessss. I gotta see my favorites hear itt
I may be speaking blasphemy here..lol..😂but I'm picking up Foo Fighter vibes?
more Thrice for me, rad sog
