Yes! My favourite episode. Made me rethink the first episodes from Victor’s perspective. Poor man must have been so confused and getting mixed signals. Also, I know Chris is just way too extra, but the last time he saw Yuuri they were in their underwear, pole dancing together. To me it made the whole butt grab thing easier to understand, still weird though. Many fans have a theory that the “Eros” story in the choreography Victor did was inspired by the banquet. Yuuri was the “playboy” and Victor was the “maiden”.
Fun fact! In Russia, wedding rings are worn on the right hand- meaning that, especially Viktor, understood the heavy implication that this was a marriage proposal.
And, honestly, if Yuuri hadn't done it first, I wouldn't have been surprised if Viktor would've proposed not long after due to his stated interest in a marriage proposal at the airport.
I saw people saying that Yuuri actually only bought one ring, and Viktor bought the matching one in secret, which would explain why Yuuri was shocked when Viktor went to put the ring on his hand, and why Viktor was able to say so easily that it was an engagement ring! I don't remember if that was confirmed or anything, it's been a while since I got into the theories, but it's certainly an interesting one!
Doesn't make sense since Yuuri wanted a good luck charm for his performance, so why would he buy something that's on Victor only?

This really wasn't based on a manga, but the creator is a mangaka so the script was basically a first sketch of a manga. Also, she publishes cute doodles of the characters to her twitter. Also there's official art with Alternative Universes (there's one where they are musicians instead of skaters, for example) and of course there's the whole fashion magazine covers of them. You should take a look at that. Yurio is extra.
I was so excited when I saw you uploaded this episode!! I've probably seen this episode 10 times, a lot of times to just lift my mood. Since you guys were wondering on the video: The writer is a mangaka, but she was hired on to write the script for the anime. It was interesting to read that she actually drew manga-style storyboards. To think that those exist out there! I wish I could see those. I also read that she planned a lot more scenes for the show but they were cut down due to the half hour episode constraints. I would love to read a Yuri!! on Ice manga from her someday.
