    Such a great lecture! You remind me a lot of the kindness, clarity and wisdom of Manly P Hall's lectures.

    Slowly & moreso prevalent, I Am seeing the Piccatrix as a most critical Source. Critical in that Snycretically formulating correlations for gaining insight to many Ancient works -- not to mention the 200+ books reference therein from Facino.
    Much of your exhaustible focus on this text and the understanding you've presented at other times, has affirmed to me yet again, how important is this material. Thank you Dr.Dan. Also I've enjoyed your collaborative work with others, such as Dr Justin Sledge and the like. Most Grateful.

    Excellent work, Dan. I have to say, with how thorough and well-presented this was, I would be floored if you committed to doing an installment for each of the celestial intelligences.
    I am currently studying some of Israel Regardie's works, and the timing could not be better. Of course, with his niche in the occult, there is a heavier fascination and focus on the magical elements. However, knowledge about the historical turns in understanding of these celestial principles enriches all study of esoteria.

      I have given it some thought, but considering how long this took me (since it was also published in an academic journal with a full scholarly apparatus), i'll have to think about it more before I commit.

    Is astral magic, just things that make you ' feel good'.. From my limited understanding The astral body is the seat of our feelings, desires, impressions, and passions. Its energies are active in our subconscious. So when I read astral magic, Im trying to understand what that means? Also is Occult Saturn, different from the astrological Saturn? As I have Saturn Libra 4th house, conjunct Jup Libra as well. But curious if Occult Saturn can help with my specific lesson I need understanding on via its placement in my chart, instead of using Saturn magic as a way to get MONEY... In my astro chart, Saturn is in the 4th as stated, which has nothing to do with those matter, which would bring no peace. But my understand of Occult Saturn is simplistic, as I have listened to this whole thing, but need to play again as its all very new.

    I'm not sure if I misunderstood, but is Ficcino considered to be an orthodox as in religion ?
    If that so, where I can find more information about that ?
    Thanks

    • @TheModernHermeticist
      @TheModernHermeticist  Před rokem +1

      When you say Orthodox, do you mean Greek orthodox? Or simply religiously orthodox in his Catholicism? Ficino was a traditional Catholic priest, and he would have argued that he is perfectly orthodox in his thinking, but he had to write a lot of apologia to convince people that he was indeed perfectly orthodox because of some of his works.

    • @PWM62
      @PWM62 Před rokem

      @@TheModernHermeticist right I see what you mean , in the sense that he was an strict and methodical catholic (going by the rules)
      For a moment I thought you meant he was an Orthodox.
      That would have been interesting considering the orthodox didn't have to change Christianity in the way the catholic had to ir order to become a power structure .
      Thus the orthodox abide by older (closer to pagan ?) ways of thinking and feeling religion , in the mind of a renaissance magician this would be an exciting way of approaching religion I guess .
      And it would be a great link to the neoplasticism they were all on.
      Anyway thanks for your clarification 😊👍
