Nothing like a little love and chaos on Valentines day

- Eizzo (the moustache parakeet) is staying with us for a bit so we have an additional helper.
Cookie Recipe
½ cup fresh almond butter
¼ cup Unsweetened applesauce
1 large egg
1 ¼ cups almond flour
1 tsp baking soda
Food grade food dye (optional)
Sliced almonds (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl mix almond butter, applesauce and egg. Mix on high until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix to combine. Roll in balls, slightly flatten. Make heart shape with almond. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove cookies from oven but allow cookies to sit on baking pan for 5 minutes before putting on a plate. Cool and let birds enjoy!
*Feel free to cut recipe in half as it makes a bunch of tiny cookies*
I'll be honest, I am so jealous !! You have such a wonderful flock. These kids couldn't be more adorable. I dreamt & studied for years, finally realizing that these little Indians were the right birds for me. I waited until I retired to get myself a couple of Ringnecks, but I got scammed instead. I do have my wonderful Budgies, Loki is my oldest, then I rescued George Burns & Gracie Allen. I am blessed that, after just a year, they gave me Bonnie & Clyde. I wouldn't trade any of them. They are each so unique. Still hoping to add a couple of Ringnecks to my flock someday. Really appreciate Your sharing those precious moments with us.

@@karensiegel6669 Thanx, Karen. The best part is that they know their own names. If I call out a name, as if I were scolding, that specific bird will freeze in its tracks. Meanwhile the others will turn and look at him/her as if to say "what do you think you're doing ?" Birds are so much smarter than they are given credit for. Love them all. ⚠

OMG, I was laid off from my telephonic nursing job in December 2021. I have been in such a funk. Im 61 and cant do "regular" nursing like in a hospital and my job search has NOT been productive. Hi there, what an amazing lady you are, the amount of time and effort you put into making your parrots something special to eat, especially on Valentine’s Day , your a saint, they are such beautiful birds, and so very well spoilt, but they are worth every bit, I love it when they have a bit off the spoon, so sweet, Dunk Dunk and Gingerbin, spreading there love towards each other, even though there both males, it’s still nice to see, Cypress is a sweetie, that other green parrot didn’t know what to do, Bob was there too,, what a superb video, give my love to your parrots, there the best. They have cheered me up today, I’ve been working outside this morning in the heavy rain and strong winds,, glad to be home watching my Chatterbox parrots video.
