පිටවල 'පතන' යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නකල්ස් සංරක්ෂණ වනාන්තරයේ දක්නට ලැබෙන සුවිශේෂී තෘණ බිමකි. මෙම පතන විශාල පාරිසරික වටිනාකමක් ඇත. මෙම තෘණ භූමිය මාතලේ දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ රත්තොට - ඉලුක්කුඹුර මාර්ගය අද්දර පිහිටා ඇත. කිලෝමීටර් 0.75ක පමණ ස්වභාවික මාවතක් පිටවල පතන ප්‍රදේශයේ ගැඹුරු කඳු බෑවුමක් වන මිනි වර්ල්ඩ්ස් එන්ඩ් වෙත නරඹන්නන් රැගෙන යයි. එය හෝර්ටන් තැන්නේ සුප්‍රසිද්ධ ලෝකාන්තයේ කුඩා පිටපතකට සමානයි.
නකල්ස් කඳු වැටිය සහ එහි පහත නිම්න කිහිපයක පරිදර්ශක දසුනක් මෙහිදී අපිට දැකබලාගැනීමට හැකියව පවතී. ස්වභාවික මංපෙත නරඹන්නන් පහසුවෙන් පතන හරහා රැගෙන යයි. එතැන් සිට පාෂාණ නිස්සාරණය දක්වා ගමන් කළ හැකි අතර එමඟින් කෙනෙකුට කෙළවර දක්වාම ගමන් කළ හැකිය.
Pitawala 'Pathana' is a unique grassland found in the Knuckles Conservation Forest, Sri Lanka. This pathana has a great ecological value. This grassland is situated by the side of the Rattota - Illukkumbura road in Matale district.An nature trail of about 0.75 km takes the visitor to Mini World's End, which is a deep escarpment situated at Pitawala Pathana. It resembles a small version of the famed World's End in Horton Plains.
The lookout offers a panoramic view of the Knuckles Range and some of its valleys below. The designated nature trail leads the visitors easily to the escarpment. From there it is possible to walk along to the rock extrusion which allows one to walk right up to the edge.
