They possibly don’t get enough credit for being one of the most consistent and long lasting 21st century rock bands.
Very well put. The vibe they have is unlike any other. I feel they have a lot in common with Tame Impala (despite being uniquely different.) Both bands just create this vibe that sucks you in and spits you out wanting more, yet you can't find it.
Bring back alt rock groups taking chances plz.
They hands down have been my favorite band for the last 18 years....since I was 12.
Started listening to them at 13 and now they're also my 1
I saw MM live at the University of Iowa campus in 2004, they opened with Dramamine then played almost the entire Good News album & it was the greatest show I’ve ever seen! The crowd cheered like crazy for over 45min for a encore & they came out & played some older classics, epic night!
Sounds bad ass! That is the year I was introduced to MM and I’ve been crushing on Isaac ever since
I saw them around that time and they did the same except the encore . I was a bit disappointed

Probably watched this a couple dozen times now. Was an instant new favorite.
Lots of bands don't last a decade+ because egos and people will clash and change overtime, good to see these guys still together making music after all these years

stage setup here is wonderful. sounds great with headphones. distortion on the bass for chorus is a nice touch! MM is still sounding good, man. been a fan since my friend's gf threw a tape into her car's cassette player, and sang her heart out along with what i'd later figure out was "Cowboy Dan", and she had played an album titled The Lonesome Crowded West. i had just graduated high school a cupla months prior and had my whole life ahead of me. it was August of 2001, and times were a lot simpler, looking back on it.
This has been their best work in about 14 years. I never expected such a great album out of them again... Tremendous stuff.

@@kadenmulcahey627 Nah, this is pretty good. Truthfully, all of their albums grow on me in different ways, and most of the songs sound like "Classics" to me. Dramamine, Coyotes, Gravity Rides Everything, Teeth Like God's Shoeshine, Talking S**t About a Pretty Sunset, Missed the Boat, Little Motel... Just so many that I really dig.

The 2 times i saw them in the last few years they were pretty boring and low energy unfortunately. I would say if you see them dont see them in a big stadium. Saw them with Black Keys and it was kinda bad

Yeah I saw them a few years back at the Eagles Ballroom in WI and the audio was so bad I couldn't even understand him when no music was playing and he was talking to the crowd. Plus, it was so crowded and everyone was drunk or doped up. For my first concert as a 30yr old and I was like "this is what concerts are? This is actually quite unpleasant..." lol

I've seen them live twice. They do wonderful renditions of their songs, often staying true but making it worth the live listen with small additions and changes here and there. I ran my throat dry singing along with my girlfriend at the time, the energy was far from low.

I love how issac Brock isn’t a classic “good singer”, yet he uses his voice as an instrument like no other musician I’ve ever heard.
Edit: to clarify I also absolutely love his voice. I don’t think Simon powel would in his TV shows tho
He does an amazing job of hiding his lisp too. I never noticed it until I heard him speak in an interview.
Simon Powell hasn't ever chosen a good song writer or even someone with originality.
@@birdflipper I read somthing somewhere that said he purposely mixed his songs and added effects to hide it. However when he recorded the Ugly Casanova record, it was much more stripped down and more obvious. Worth a listen to for sure if you haven't heard it, the album Sharpen Your Teeth is an absolute gem of a record.

Okay I have to chime in again. When he goes nuts during the guitar hook after the second chorus -- it just made my whole fucking year. It is the high point of 2021. And I love this band for that.
I met Isaac Brock and the drummer yesterday In Az for the show Isaac is such a wonderful person the whole band is so friendly working security is amazing Isaac if you’re reading this for whatever reason thank you for the FANS it was really hot outside

I am older and grew up in the 80’s, and my sister was into the “Mod” scene and this would have fit into her genre!! I absolutely love this music. Extremely original and genuine to who they are . A lot like the Alternative bands of the 80’s. Great music and musicians!! I can’t wait to go see them with my daughter soon!! (She is the one who introduced me to their music.. she has seen them before and said they were awesome )
