As a NASCAR fan, I assume y’all have a lot of questions that may need answered. 1. Safety in these cars is top notch with neck restraints, safer barriers, and strong roll cages. 2. A lot of these wrecks are at Daytona and talladega which is known for this so don’t associate NASCAR with these wrecks all the time because they shock us fans when they happen. 3. Since the wrecks are at Daytona, people bumpdraft each other to basically shove someone forward. 4. Yes we turn left alot. I didn’t need to write this but there are alot of questions i see that are quite simple to answer.

Geoff Bodine's wreck in the truck series is the worst accident Nascar has seen. The truck desintegrated yet he survived due to safety measures he hsd pushed for

Only reason I say that is there were like 2 I didn't recognize. But yeah safety is a huge concern and one of the primary things they care about. If you're talking about the commentators, they usually do care a lot, but they have to stay calm for the sake of the broadcast, to keep viewers watching from home from panicking.
I'm not totally sure but I think the hit from Hamlin popped Dillon off the ground and the car lifted up from the air getting under it, like what happened to the Mercedes CLRs at Le Mans.
HOW DO THE DRIVERS SURVIVE THESE BIG CRASHES!?!?
