  • I try to make a useful video on a 2750 rebuild. I only realized half way through the project that I should make a vid to help someone who might be doing the same. It is not detailed and kind of pieced together but if you are into this, it will likely help in some respect....This blower is pushing 20 years of hard service...excellent by any standard......I could try to answer questions should anyone like........Take care.

Love the video. Making something old new is always rewarding.
Liquid gasket on bearing seals great idea , even better using the drill press to press the gear into the bearings !
The million dollar question is how many bolts or pieces were left over at the end of the rebuild ? That's always the gauge of how good a job is .
A man is only as good as the knife he has in his pocket my father always said,
If it wont go don't force it just get a bigger hammer another saying from my father .
No singing or dancing in this video ?
Great Job , I think the paint job is the best part !! Such a great assistant.

Not too many pieces left over....does that matter??...lol...you are paying attention thats for sure.....your dads sayings are wise....I'll try to get some more singing and dancing in the next vid....I haven't embarrassed myself enough yet...hehe.....yes the "assistant"....she is a joy...most of the time...lol...cheers

Super nice job, My MAssey 2360 is basically a clone of this I for sure will revisite this fideo when I will dismantle it this summer . It is brand new but got to be the worst pain job AGCO could of done it is peeling like creazy so will dismantle it to repaint properly I might look at reinforcing the drum as I see it is tin metal

Hello, and thank you for your nice comment… I am glad the video can help you in someway… still working really well after the rebuild… But a cautionary word… I was in a jam recently and put in sheer pins that were tougher than they should be… And now I’ve bent a couple of things again… Take care and good luck

Thank-you TMO...That blower runs smooth now....may need it soon....I checked your channel and apparently we share the same great taste in tractors....lol....I have never spent money on something that gives like my little Kubota......It has literally paid for itself a hundred times over!...No joke.......I'm jealous of your box blade .....Good to have you watching...Take Care!

@@bullrush6449 I wish I was as handy as you... and yes these tractors are great, mine will pay for itself over the next two years from releveling 70 yard long driveway - Snow removal - garage pad and trenching.

Hi. Thanks for an excellent video. There's very little information available on these blowers. It looks like you got all new reduction box parts. Were there any assembly instructions with those? My sprocket key came out and the sprocket is riding freely on the gearbox driveshaft. I'm trying to figure out if the sprocket has a designated position on the driveshaft. The parts schematic seems to show a hole or indent in the driveshaft that matches the position of the second (non-key) set screw???

Hello....well I only replaced the bearings and seals....I used all the old gears etc....If you are talking about the "worm" gear on the shaft, It has a 5/16" split pin holding it on that goes through the driveshaft. This pin seems to come out or break on people. ..What I did was replace the pin with brand new and I tacked it with a mig welder on one side so it wouldn't move. There is a schematic on the Kubota website that should help....Good luck and thanks!!

I sympathize with you, because I have the same problem, the top sprocket is no longer aligned with the bottom one, which broke the chain.
The 40B32 sprocket seems to be held in place by two things:
      1st; Key 1/4" X 1/4" X 1" LG - which slides into the sprocket and axle slot.
2nd; Two 5/16" NC X 5/16" Allen setscrews - which prevent it from slipping off the axle.
For my part, one of these two setscrews was missing, and the other was loose.
The LG Locking Key 1/4" X 1/4" X 1" is even bent and nearly cut, making it difficult to disassemble these parts for repair.
Because of this I am unable to disassemble these parts, they seem to be stuck in place.
Maybe with a puller I could pull the sprocket off the axle, to better assess the damage.
I just hope I don't have to take the snowblower to the dealer to get it fixed.

Buddy's got fabrication skills! Nice work. I like your welding table. What machine are you running there? Looks like maybe a MillerMatic 251? We're always looking for a good mechanic/fabricator. Let me know if you need a job in BC! We have a plant in Yarrow and Abbotsford.

You gotta stop offering me jobs...lol...I'm just trying to keep up with my own projects...Thanks Chris...Good eye...Miller 250 from the big shop...The "welding table"is a rolling fastener centre but it makes a great project table for sure...the new blower was about four times what this one cost me to rebuild...no choice there if you can take the time.... and we even snuck in a cocktail or two...was fun..go feed the chickens!!...lol

Awesome video! I’m in the process of doing the exact same thing to my blower right now. How is you two stage fan held on? Mine just has a single sheer bolt that holds it to the fan. Also what motor did you use for the chute rotation? Are you just careful not to run into the stops with it?

    • @bullrush6449
      @bullrush6449  Před 3 lety

Hello....glad you enjoyed the video. My two stage fan is also held on by a single 1/4 " bolt. I think it is a grade 5 but thats by memory. The chute uses a hydraulic motor "Gresen J100" It is a nifty little unit and it is just powerful enough to turn the chute but not harm the worm when it hits the end. Better get going the snow is coming...good luck!

BullRush thank you! I’m working on it I got the gear box all taken apart and cleaned up I ordered new seals and bearings for everything. Do you happen to have a link to that hydraulic motor? I can’t seem to find that one.

@@turbotona25 Hi again....The previous owner added this hyd motor..The install would require a little bracket work etc. I'm afraid I don't know where mine came from, but here is a link to the same motor......All the best!
