I think my favorite roast from 3 is “yeah, unforgettable, just like your face!” But Riku’s roasts from 3D, Auren’s roast in 2, and Ven’s roast in BBS are also amazing.
Sora dishes it back just as much dude but they still care about each other very much. They never let it get too far and there’s plenty of times where their perfectly friendly with each other without the light ribbing.
Here’s a roast I wish that they had in the game. I wish that Larxene had been more active in the Frozen world. Rather than just toying with Sora and co., she could have tormented Elsa the same way Xaldin tormented the Beast: preying upon Elsa’s fear and anxiety, gaslighting her and convening her that isolation is the only way to prevent Anna from ever getting hurt again. But after Anna’s sacrifice, Elsa finally realizes that she doesn’t have to be alone anymore. And when all the characters are on the boat as the winter turns back into spring (like in the film), Larxene shows up to try to gaslight Elsa into her old behaviors, but this time Elsa is not having it. Larxene: “You’ll only hurt the people closed to you. Listen to me…” Elsa: “I think I’ve listened to you long enough!” Elsa the raises her hand to slap Larxene, but before she can…Anna punches Larxene off the ship (just like she does with Hans in the film). After everything Larxene has done in the series, that would be pretty cathartic to watch. And it would have been a great addition to this game’s trend of the Disney characters taking down the Organization members.
Woody roasting YX ain't on here, but I suppose it's ironic because Xehanort was considered as a "Child of Light" during the secret ending to Dark Road by the blue cloaked man, and the shit he went through(his friends and the missing students dead, and Baldr's betrayal). Axel roasting Xemnas was hilarious(and him addressing the confusing lore during the Guardian meeting), and one of the few times where Nomura's writing is aware of how convoluted it could get, in addition to the character's popularity(Axel was portrayed as a sexyman in KH fanon, while his English VA Quinton Flynn reluctantly said his iconic catchphrase "Got it memorized?" at anime/gaming conventions to appease the fans).
I hate that they cut so many jokes out the tangled scene that you take one sentence and I can still tell there's something missing "Something brought you here, flynn rider. Call it what you will: fate, destiny..." "A horse"
I like how Sora is kinda dumb. Like not in a comic relief way. He’s just pretty stupid and everyone knows it and is ok with it and they just work around it. It’s kinda nice. Shows you don’t have to be smart to be the hero.
