Just got home from day one of The Waukesha Blues fest.I seen Indigenous for the first tyme,Mato Nanji is one hell of a guitar picker! He blew me away!They came on just before John Mayall!! I wish they would be back tomorrow! This will be my good nyte song!
Just saw them pop up as a suggested pg on facebook. Figured I'd check them out. We have a big Native American Festival here in Wichita, Ks in July. I'm gonna see if starting next year I can convince the commitee to start adding modern Native American acts. Loved to hear.them live and other NA artists.
Id have to say john mayer was my fav guitarist but after listen to this guy i feel like hes right there along side with my top 3 favs' srv being #1, john mayer and kenny wayne sheppard being #2 and now this guy is right along sife my man kenny wayne' keepin these awsome srv inspired bad ass blues licks and music commin along but with the same feel and style it was played by srv and many other blues artists as well
Jonny Lang check out Live at Montreux 1999 he’s one of the best blues players too and singers. I’ve been a Mato Nanji fan and Indigenous fan from day one. I wish they had made it bigger like the deserved. The man’s an incredible guitarist and singer. Live at La Zona Rosa. Check it out. It’s on utube It’s only on vhs sadly. when I first heard Indigenous play Red House several years ago it was the best blues lead I have ever heard and it blew me away.
