Ran one of these for 15 years. A shear head for 10 then a saw head for 5. Cut alot of wood. I felt more secure in it than I did a 4 wheel cutter. The way you could turn was like a zero turn mower.

This video takes me back to being a young boy in the 70s growing up in Gordon Alabama...about 20 miles south of Dothan Alabama.
My grandpa had a land clearing business. He had a Cat D5 Dozier, a John Deere 350 Dozier, a John Deere 550 Dozier & other equipment, trucks & low-boy trailers.
In the summer's I would get to go on jobs with him & my uncles. When they had to work on a piece of equipment, I would always get in the way, my grandpa would take me to the other side of whatever they were working on, give me a couple of wrenches & tell me to try loosening a certain nut & bolt...something he knew I'd never break it loose, tear up, or hurt myself on & he knew I'd be out of the way until they were through with what they were working on.
Looking back now...it's funny, but when I was 9 yrs old in 1978, I WAS NOTHING BUT BUSINESS AT WHATEVER MY GRANDPA SHOWED ME TO WORK ON!!!
    Much love from Mobile Alabama.

I've replace ours and it last for about a year they starts doing the bs again.
