Chad has one of the most underrated voices in music imo. Smooth, slightly raspy delivery. Literal music to my ears!
Only reason he doesn't get more recognition is the fact that he is a total ass hole in real life. Dude has constantly called out mega star bands like Led Zeppelin saying they can't even begin to compare to him. Chad Kroeger is incredibly talented, but is also one of the most arrogant people in music.

You know the great thing about Santana is that he plays with the rhythm of the music he doesn’t play a song he just made he plays with the vocals of the singer and the pace of the drums which is amazing
um... that's the way you're supposed to play as a guitarist and that's what they do cause it would be a horror otherwise. I don't know how much you know about music or guitar playing but this is not just Santana, it's every player ever :D

There are several that can shred like him but nobody can copy the style. He is the king of his sound just like Clapton, Robert Randolph, Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen were the kings of their styles.
Personally I really enjoy the stylings of Joe Satriani, purely instrumental but it's so rich, he doesn't even need spoken words, Carlos is still a close second though ;)

Santana just has his own style and sound when he plays the guitar. Just hearing it and not seeing him play, you can tell that it's him. He's the greatest guitarist in the world.

I don't know that I would name him the greatest, but very few are his equal. He's definitely in the top 10 and given that every guitar great has their own style, it's impossible to name an absolute #1.

Just saw Carlos Santana t with Earth wind & fire at the Celaris amphitheater in Georgia.(8/2022).
I was a teenager in the late 60's and 70's. I listened to guitar gods, hard rock and roll, serious R &B/blues, and funk. I liked several of Nickelback's songs and listened to them in my regular rotation. If that bothers you, suck on it.

Honestly, this is one of the few times I would have to say Kroeger is any good.
But then, what helps is that Carlos Santanas guitar help to really solidify the quasi tango beat which incorporates a bit of calypso to really solidify the beat.
And age matters why? Queen still Kicks ass, Elvis still kick ass, The beatles still kick ass, Led zeppelin Still kicks ass.

Age matters cause some songs are forgotten as time goes by and then there are some songs are which are remembered but doesn't feel that great when listened to after some years have passed. To me at least, this song stays the same everytime I hear it. It doesn't feel stale.

Most people hate Chad because his band is apparently the biggest insult to rock music ever.
Randomizer903 Nickelback is one space behind the Beetles when it comes to records sold. In the US at least. TBH in the US Canadians always get grief in one form or another, but the man is a genius with his music. Some of the best songs from bands like Daughtry and Theory of a dead man have been co-written by Chad. Yeah he may over use certain... unsavoury aspects in some of his songs but clearly it works, or they wouldn't be one of the most successful rock bands of all time.
