I am coming to say this prayer with you Pastor,
Please pray for my Grandaughter to be delivered from dugs and bondages from abuse since she was a baby, and she is suicidal. I cannot fast because I am 70 and I am I’ll myself and getting weak. Only miracles can help her. She is only 16, full of rage, bitterness and unforgiveness, in a sexual relationship, trying to escape home. I am living in poverty, and I have an unstable past myself, recently I have repented with my whole heart, this has run in my family. Jesus please have mercy and grace on my Grandaughter, she was born into this as I was, You know my whole life and hers and my whole family, Father, Hebrews 4:16 says I can come to Your throne room in my time of need to ask for mercy and grace. I am asking. Thank You for every blessing You have given myself and my children and Grandchildren, my whole life, forgive me for me fear, I do not lie to You Father, but I say as David did, what time I am afraid, I will trust in You, I know You love her more than I do, I ask in Jesus Name because He said I could and I believe Him. My God of hope fill me with all joy and peace in believing I can abound in hope by the power of Your Spirit. Romans 15:13
I truly have a heart as Jabez. You know the promises I cry out to You in private, forgive me as I am weary as Elijah was under that Juniper Tree. I need manna from You Lord please, in Jesus Name.

To fast, one should never, make an announcement, but do your fasting, in private, wash your face, and don't tell no one your fasting, that's Biblical. Fasting is between, God, and you, not anyone else.
King Jehosaphat called for a fast and praised God and sang : "Thank the Lord for His love endures forever ",and what happened to his enemies? When fasting , you wash your face and put oil on your head .and PRAY..We need to ask God to get rid of our enemies and to bring down all those towers like the towers of babel and the walls of Jericho and to ask God to cast lucifer from the earth like He did to lucifer when he was in heaven .May the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven.Where God is it is Holy ! Esther called a public fast and announced it
Ezra called a public fast in ch 8 for their travels after he turned down the help of the king
Jehoshaphat called a public fast
The New Testament church called for public fasting for the release of Peter from prison
In Matthew 6 when it teaches about private fasting your correct, however the Bible also teaches on public fasting under the leading of the Holy Spirit
God will not honor or bless disobedience to His Word so if we look back on all these examples mentioned plus the rest we will see that Private prayer and public prayer have different ways of appropriate understanding
Just the same with fasting
Both public and private
If God blessed all these believers in these examples it is our knowledge and understanding that might need to be sharpened 😊
Public or private fasting and prayer starts with a humble heart that yearns for God’s deliverance. One can fast in private and carry a heart of pride.

@@rabbitears9446 what did Jesus say about fasting, the old way, as in the OT does not apply, Jesus said to fast, in PRIVATE and not to tell anyone, fasting, is between God, and you, not the Church at a weekend, or just because a pastor said so, who is this pastor? Is he above scripture, does he know what Jesus said? He is adding to Gods word, in other words, he is, CURSED.
