- Pol Tarres was born in in 1993 in Rellinars, Barcelona. He started his career as a trial rider and won many titles in this discipline. This is not a coincidence as trial skills run in his family (he is the nephew of Jordi Tarrés, seven times Trial World Champion). His passion for trial turned to extreme enduro and he is completely focused on training and racing.

I've been riding bikes for 50 years. What he does, from my perspective, is not amazing - it's impossible.
I rode earlier in life. I can't imagine doing these moves in a video game.

I have seen riders do this stuff on a special trials bike, never seen it done on a dirt bike. This guy is amazing!

It's nice to seen those obstacle runs in slow motion, so you can see the preloading of the suspension and the shift in center of mass used to accomplish this, nice video, really fun to watch :)
For something like that you can just change the video playback speed.

I used to motocross and enduro in the late 70's thru the early 90's. The trials riders always fascinated me with their control and manipulation of the bike.

I rode trials as a kid in Costa Mesa, CA, but I never even dreamed of doing some of the stunts this guy pulls off w/o a blink. Just WOW! Teach me, Master. lol

I used to do some trials back in the day. Raced more Hair Scrambles , motocross, flat track and a little ice racing. Started with the trials in 1975 when I was 9 yrs old on a Honda 125 trials bike. I really liked it. Hell I loved it all

Trial techniques are an absolutely solid foundation for any type of riding, from Motocross, Hard Enduro, and even roadracing. Off road, of course is where the best results are found, specifically, training riders to keep their feet/legs on the pegs or at least off the ground. Motocross has the nasty technique of throwing the inside leg forward in turns, a style of riding that has cost many a rider his knee tendons. I think the ideal riding style is feet up, knees in, allowing more control, the trials fundamental style of riding. I believe if riders continue to develop this style, less leg injuries and greater speed and control will ultimately result.

Why is this called enduro? In my part of the world (Europe) it is called trial. Enduro is an entirely different kind of sport. I thought this was a Spanish rider. Huh? Has enduro changed it's rules? What is going on, here?
