This looks like a very cool design. I have the 40mm prop version coming as well. Thinking about a lightweight 2s 40mm build. Sub250gFPV has got some really cool ideas and listens to feedback.

That's wild Nick, I'm using that board in three different builds, and I've had excellent video reception. In fact, it's one of the reasons I like the board so much. I've flown my 1s 65 mm whoop nearly a kilometre away with a true RC Singularity antenna and the flywoo nano-camera, and the video was rock solid. Maybe you received a bad one? 🤔

This little quad looks really nice. Alas... My favorite quad class is 3" ultralight. Better flight characteristics (in my book) and more flight time on the same size battery.
At this time, I am not a fan of any of the Runcam nano cameras, though I have not tried the all. Nano 2 was okay, Nano 3 was different but not really any better. Nano 4 looks like a pass for me even though I do like the slightly narrower field of view.
I’m a big fan of 3” ultralight long range builds . On 4s LIHV & 1407 3,300kv motors I can get 15min flights but I can go 85mph if I want lol

I got mine and am hoping to throw it together tonight or tomorrow with rcinpower 1002 19000kv and happymodel elrs 5amp aio and a nano 3. Should be around 28 grams without battery. A very cool setup.

I've been following Phil for quite some time, and definitely want one of these frames. I could probably transplant my Meteor 65 Pro into it... :) O_O
My only conversion concern is 1mm motor shafts without protection will likely bend 🥲
Did you build up the the electronics?
Phil usually uses the Happymodel diamond FC for this Kind of build.
My favourite 1S 2 inch build are with the Happymodel 1102 13500kv motors and gemfan 2036 props.
I did build this. I used what I had on hand and bought an atom camera to fit the mount
Cool. the Frame looks great, I want one. the electronics, not so much. 18,000 kv is better for a 31mm prop on 1s. I'm going to keep this in mind once HDzero releases the 1s board and camera
I tend to run 10000kv on 2s with 2inch triblades. Maybe 15000kv would have longer flight but less top end

I have problems with the Goku board as well, I got the version without the rx so I could use elrs. For some reason when I first plug in it will be fine, but if I disarm or unplug then plug back in it will have terrible range and the osd gets all jumpy. I thought maybe it was just dropping power level on disarm to save the vtx but that feature wasn't activated and the osd bouncing around is a new one to me. I'm assuming it's not a widespread problem cause I haven't heard anyone else complaining about it but I thought it was interesting that you also had video issues with yours
If the video issue is osd specific it can sometimes be traced back to a grounding issue. With an AIO there isn’t much for us to check other than our battery led soldering
@@NickBurnsFPV I'll give it a look-see, maybe there's a broken ground there, I just think it's weird that it does it after it's been disarmed. Its still flyable as long as I don't wanna watch my voltage too much lol
@@billdor121 electrical issues can we weird. We could solve or troubleshoot further if we swap out the AIO but that isn't always practical.
Going down FOV is a lot more difficult than going up, I've been trying to do that for months now 😁

Can you raise the brightness in the camera settings? Runcam nano 4 right?, I wanted to like this camera.

It’s hard to beat the runcam nano 3, it has a mount for screw mounting. Then it would be the caddx ant and if the weight penalty is okay the caddx baby ratel 2

I haven’t tried them yet. I would likely need to retune. Maybe this weekend
They dont perform well. Tried them on the rocket race build. You would need higher KV motors for those low pitch 2015 props.
My favourite prop on the rocket race are the GF 2036

Do the gnb27 connectors come apart easier than the betaflight ones that i can't get separated?
Hmm well I would say that, I haven’t had much trouble with bt20
@@NickBurnsFPV I ordered a set of five m/f connectors and they are impossibly tight and so small and no edge on each side to get a grip on. Might have to switch to xt30
