Homelander was the only way for me to come back to this game, and I am curious on what they will do with Takeda. But of all the DLC characters, Homelander is who I was the most curious about. Hopefully he is as fun as he looks.

These are the worst guest characters in MK so far cuz theyre so dated already. MK9 started with Kratos and Freddy, then MKX with its tone and vibe went full Horror, then MK11 when things started getting really cinematic they went with Movie Icons.. these are from some shows that were out at the time and STILL from DC... in 10 years from now looking back who tf is gonna remember who Peacemaker is or why he was in MK besides lol money
I noticed there weren’t any new moves they threw in for already existing characters for the patch that will come with this… like they did in the Ermac trailer hopefully this patch will have buffs for characters like havik, Tanya, etc..

As a casual, it doesnt matter what character comes out if there is nothing to do with them. I'll play Homelanders combo trials and arcade ladder and then MK1 will be back to collecting dust. Mean while I can still go into SF6 world tour mode every day and have something fun to do. Unless MK1 gets a completely new and actually fun and engaging single player mode, I'll never spend another dime on it. Capcom and Namco will be getting my dollars.

MK has always consistently outsold other fighting games because the included single player modes that other games lack. One character can’t single handily save a fighting game. It takes more balance patches and for NRS to finish the unfinished characters that rely on kameos to save mk1.
This is probably as close as we'll get to Superman being in Mortal Kombat. I know we had Mortal Kombat cross DC, but that doesn't count. A lot of people dont like that game because of censored violence.
there is not only Homelander in the list of characters, it is a fighting game above all and if all the characters are not viable it is of no use because not everyone will choose Homelander as the main character, this character will just bring people back to the game for a while and then they will leave
